InLightyear Frontier, there is one location where you can set down a Radio Tower. This structure will allow you to communicate directly with Ulf, an NPC that will need a bunch of items from the planet’s surface. If you bring Ulf the items he needs, you can earn money to spend with the Merchant.
This means that finding the radio tower location and building this structure is something you want to be able to do as early as possible, as it will help youfarm a lot of money inLightyear Frontier.
Where is the Radio Tower’s Location in Lightyear Frontier?
The radio tower can be found in the Yellow Forest inLightyear Frontier, in the southernmost part of this section of the map. It will be pretty high up, above the trees, giving it plenty of room for broadcasting. To get the quest to build this tower, you will need to first clean the Yellow Forest. It should appear automatically in your quest log after the cleanup is complete. Once you get the quest, you can travel over to the tower’s location and check out the items you need to construct it. Where to Find Hardwood and Copper in Lightyear Frontier
You’ll need to upgradeyourLightyear Frontiermech’s Saw to be able to gather Hardwood. Once the Saw is at a high enough level, you will be able to take down the bigger trees and stumps that are in the Yellow Forest and beyond, including the Large Yellow and Large Green trees that will drop Hardwood for this recipe.
Copper, on the other hand, has to be mined in thiscozy Game Pass game. The best place to farm copper is the Edge Cliffs, just south of the starting location called the Meadows. If you clean the area, it will make copper appear more frequently. You will need to mine this with the Saw tool from your mech as well.
How to Make Aluminum Frames and Aluminum Electronics in Lightyear Frontier
The last two ingredients needed to make the radio tower are Aluminum Frames and Electronics. Frames you will have already made for other recipes to get to this point, but you might not have seen Electronics yet. Both of these are made in the Assembler, and each require rawaluminum which needs to be mined inLightyear Frontier. Aluminum Frames cost two Aluminum, and Electronics cost two Aluminum and one Copper Wire. Copper Wire is made by taking two Copper and putting them into the Assembler.
How to Use the Request Board
Now that you have made the radio tower in thisfarm sim, you can interact with it and chat with Ulf. He will give you a list of quests to pick up and deliver to him in exchange for money. These quests appear to change every in-game day, so if you don’t like what is being offered, you can always sleep to get something new to do instead.
