When players are raiding bases inMeet Your Maker, they are equipped with just a basic gun and a basic sword at first. However, byspending Cells, Synthite, and Parts, they can upgrade their weapons or unlock new ones. One of the tools that players can unlock is more of a shield than a weapon, but it’s incredibly useful if players know how to use it correctly. The Arc Barrier is available from the very start of the game, and players can use it to make dangerous and brutal outposts much easier to manage.
Raiders inMeet Your Makercan only have two weapons equipped, so bringing the Arc Barrier does come with the drawback that players aren’t able to have two weapons. Usually, this means that players are going to have to give up either ranged or melee weapons, but in the case of the Arc Barrier, that may be a worthy tradeoff.

How to Unlock the Arc Barrier in Meet Your Maker
To unlock the Arc Barrier, players need to visit Chrona, the Weapons Advisor at the player’s sanctuary. If they scroll down to the Arc Barrier, they’ll see that it requires 700 Cells and 675 Parts. Parts can be obtained simply by raiding, but the Cells must beobtained by evolving the Chimera and leveling up. The Arc Barrier starts with the following stats:
How to Use the Arc Barrier in Meet Your Maker
At the very beginning of a raid, before players leave the starting point, they can change their loadout to include the Arc Barrier. Activating that weapon slot will then cause the player to be protected by a shield. While the shield is active, players are completely immune to all damage and can still move and jump around, but taking any other action (like grappling, attacking, or using Hardware) will cause the shield to end. Players can upgrade the Arc Barrier twice, although each upgrade is very expensive in terms of Cells and Parts.
