Omni-Man may not be the first comic book character to serve as aMortal Kombatguest fighter, but there’s a strong argument to be made for him being the medium’s most suitable candidate for such a role. The Viltrumite is renowned for the shockingly brutal manner in which he deals with his enemies, making his inclusion in the first Kombat Pack forMortal Kombat 1a bit of a no-brainer.

The success of Amazon Prime Video’sInvincibleadaptation will also have played a huge role in NetherRealm’s decision to include the character, as too will J.K. Simmons' fantastic voicework on the show. The popularSpider-Manactor reprises his role as Omni-Man inMortal Kombat 1, bringing with him some of the bloodiest fatalities in the game to date.

To perform Omni-Man’s Trained Killer fatality, players will need to press down, down, back, back kick while standing at close range. If done correctly, Omni-Man will grab his opponent by the neck and fly up into the air before slamming them down into the ground so hard that they crash straight through it into a subway tunnel below. He then holds them up as a train barrels toward them, using their body to split the train clean in half until all that’s left is a bloody head and a few inches of spinal cord. This should prove familiar to fans ofInvincible, as it perfectly mirrorsthe scene in which Omni-Man forces his son to hit a subway train.

Omni-Man’s Like Putty fatality can be triggered by pressing down, forward, back, front kick from medium range. It sees Omni-Man grab the other kombatant’s head with both hands and then begin to squeeze with all his might. The mounting pressure first causes one of their eyes to pop straight out of their skull, which is crushed and then stomped on by Omni-Man a few moments later. Like Trained Killer, this Fatality is ripped right out of the show, almost perfectly recreatingthe scene in which Omni-Man crushes Red Rush’s skull with his bare handsin the season one opener.
