Where to Find Mutated Enemies in Fallout 76

Mutated enemies only appear in certain events, and do not include regular Super Mutants, unfortunately. You will be able to find mutated enemies during:

Double Mutation Events are not always available, and occur randomly throughout the year. They will usually happen at the top of the hour, meaning they will begin immediately when a new hour begins. As for Daily Ops, these are always available and can be found on the map in the bottom left corner, under the World Activitysection.

To begin a Daily Op,open the World Activity section and choose the first one at the top. When you click on it, there will be a section for Enemy Mutations, which will tell you what enemy mutations currently exist that you can take on during the Daily Op. For example, this one has the mutations Volatile and Piercing Gaze. Join the Daily Op, and once you are warped to the area, you’ll start getting enemies surrounding you. They will usually have the label of their mutation next to their enemy name, such as Volatile Mutant Hound. Defeat these enemies, and you’ll have successfully completed the Kill a Mutant Enemy challenge.

After you’ve completed a Daily Op and a Challenge, you can receive the following rewards, depending on how quickly you complete the task:

Since you’ll be required to complete either aDaily Op or Double Mutation Eventin order to complete this challenge, this means you’ll be getting two different rewards. Daily Ops rewards are also completely dependent on how quickly you complete them, with rewards increasing greatly the faster you finish. You’ll always get agood amount of Capsand XP for completing a Daily Op, however.
