The launch ofHonkai Star Railsignals the beginning of a brand-new, space-faring adventurefrom the creators ofGenshin Impact. However, as eager as the crew of the Astral Express may be to continue their expedition, there’s one thing that’s keeping them from exploring the stars: Trailblaze Levels.

Essentially, Trailblaze Levels represent the player’s own progress inHonkai Star Rail.It also gates them from getting to late-game content too quickly. Players will need to boost their Trailblaze Level in order to access other important features such as Equilibrium levels, character ascension tiers, and Trace unlocks. This can be a slow and tedious process, but it can be made a little faster with the proper know-how.

Best Ways to Earn Trailblaze EXP

There are plenty of Trailblaze EXP sources inHonkai Star Rail, and the first thing players should do every time they start the game is to finish tasks in theirInterastral Guide.

Each page of theOperation Briefingtab has five objectives that reward 100 Trailblaze EXP each. This is the fastest way to earn Trailblaze Levels early in the game until players hit their first major progression wall in the later acts of the Jarilo VI storyline, which requires Trailblaze Level 24 or higher.

The second-fastest way of earning Trailblaze EXP is by completing theDaily Training objectives. These are very quick and easy to finish, and they reward players with up to 1000 EXP. Pair this with dailyCalyxruns that reward 50 EXP per challenge wave, along withupgrade materials for relics, characters, and Light Cones.

The only downside here is that, as their name suggests, Daily Training objectives are only available once per day. The same is true for Calyx runs since they require Trailblaze Power, but players have the option to spendStellar JadesorFuelin order to keep going.

Calyx run rewards in Honkai Star Rail

Up next arequests. The Trailblaze EXP rewards from these vary from mission to mission, with some reaching up to 350 in the early stages ofHonkai Star Rail. Quests are not farmable—once players get their rewards, they’ll be gone for good. Still, it’s best to get these out of the way, especially once the Daily Training and Calyx runs are over. These are alsogreat sources of Stellar Jades, and most quests (especially ones involving companions) are worth doing for their stories alone.
