Set in the 1800s,Hogwarts Legacylets its players take control of an up-and-coming fifth-year student during their time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While exploring the famed magical school, fans of theHarry Pottermovies might notice that the layout has been altered slightly, which can make finding certain areas a bit tricky.

One such area,the Chamber of Secrets, is especially challenging to track down due to this change, but it can be found with relative ease if players have a rough idea of where to look.Hogwarts Legacyis arguably the biggestHarry Pottergame to date, and though this allows for a lot of exploration, it’s easy to get lost.
Fast Traveling With Floo Flames
While exploring the world ofHogwarts Legacy, players will happen upon several Floo Flames that, when passed by, will allow the protagonistto fast travelto said Floo Flame whenever they want. This feature can make traveling around the world incredibly convenient, especially if the player plans on doing a lot of backtracking across the Highlands.
To find the Chamber of Secrets, however, the player will need to stay in Hogwarts, and though this sounds like a good thing, the layout of the castle can be quite jarring at the beginning of the game.
Finding The Chamber Of Secrets Bathroom
If players have already unlocked theLower Grand Staircase Floo Flame, the best way to begin their search for the Chamber of Secrets is for them to fast travel to it, otherwise, they should make the journey on foot. Upon reaching the Floo Flame, they should proceed down the nearby staircase before turning right and traveling to the end of the corridor. From there, all the player needs to do is turn right and enter through the door leading tothe girl’s bathroom.

To ensure this is the correct location, players should castthe Revelio spellwhile standing in front of the sink facing the door. Doing so willreveal a Field Guidethat, when collected, will comment on the snake symbol on the tap, proving the girls' bathroom to be the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets.
Can You Open The Chamber Of Secrets?
As of now, it is impossible to open the Chamber of Secrets, as the protagonist isn’t fluent in Parseltongue. This may come as a bit of a disappointment for most fans, as the Chamber of Secrets is one of the most iconic locations to appear in theHarry Potterfranchise.
However, if players prioritize their meetings with Sebastion Sallow, they will be treated to some interesting information on the chamber during theIn the Shadow of the Studyquest, even though they don’t get the chance to go there. According to a note found in Salazar Slytherin’s secret study, a creature is currently sleeping in the chamber. Fans of the series will know this note is referring to the Basilisk that Voldemort awakens inHarry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, but sadly, they will not be able to see it inHogwarts Legacy.
Some fans believethe Basilisk can be seeninthe Slytherin Common Room, but most believe the giant creature that appears there is none other than the Giant Squid that occupies the Great Lake.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions are currently in development.
