Upon completing the first trial inHogwarts Legacy, players are introduced to the next Keeper, Charles Rookwood. Once it’s revealed that his descendant is working with Ranrok to endanger the wizarding world, Charles insists on completing the second trial as soon as possible.
Players must sneak inside Rookwood Castle inHogwarts Legacyand search forCharles Rookwood’s painting to begin the trial. This task won’t be easy, as the castle is infested with Goblins and Loyalists that’ll cause heavy damage.

In the second trial, Charles Rookwood urges players to come to Rookwood Castle, where his portrait lies, as the entrance to the trial is next to it. Players must navigate through a camp of enemies and solve some puzzles to reach said portrait and start the trial. There are four main parts and each onerepresents a puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy.
How To Enter Rookwood Castle In Hogwarts Legacy
To enter Rookwood Castle,which is located in Feldcroft Region, players must first defeat the enemies and thenuse Revelio to search for a box.Use Wingardium Leviosa to drag the box underneath the broken wall and cast Levioso to levitate it. Jump onto it to gain access to the castle’s grounds.
Once players get inside Rookwood Castle, Professor Fig helps defeat the enemies. After that, enter the castle to search for the portrait, which is hidden behind a sealed gate. To solve the small puzzle and open the gate, find three sigils on the wall and hit them at the same time.
All Charles Rookwood Trials In Hogwarts Legacy
The student has to solve four major parts to complete Charles Rookwood’s trial.
Part 1
The first part is relatively easier than the rest.
Alternatively, it’s also possible to solve the puzzle by using both the pillar and the cube:
Part 2
Cross the bridge and Investigate the pool of Ancient Magic to start the second part ofthe trial inHogwarts Legacy. The goal is to remove the pillar blocking the way.
Part 3
The thirdpuzzle is rather easy and is completed in simple steps. Players need to find a way to the left path to proceed forward.
Part 4
The final part of this trial is a bit tricky to complete as protagonists need to use one of the two portals to fight an invisible enemy and reach the other side.
The next room contains a couple of enemies. Players will alsocollect many health potionsalong the way before fighting the Pensieve Guardian.
