To help otherDiablo 4players, Reddit user SuppressiveFire made a chart summarizing the enemy types, first and second-area objectives, and bosses of the Nightmare Dungeons. Along with Capstone Dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons present the toughest challenges in theDiablo 4endgame.Nightmare Dungeons are divided into different levels, which affects the rewards theDiablo 4player can get, including higher-quality loot. An example of a Nightmare Dungeon listed by SuppressiveFire is Aldurwood, where the player encounters Fallens and Demons. The only area objective is to slay 3 Aldurkin, while the boss is Den’s Mother. This huge lycanthrope deals a lot of area damage, stuns, and uses long-range melee attacks that can summon 8-foot-tall werewolves.
In addition to the high challenge, Nightmare Dungeons inDiablo 4have another special feature: completing one of these dungeons is the only way to upgrade Paragon Glyphs. Paragon Glyphs inDiablo 4are items that can be inserted into special Glyph Sockets on Paragon Boards. These Glyphs can be magical or rare and are class-specific. Nightmare Dungeons also have a higher chance of players finding Legendary or Unique items, which are themost wanted items byDiablo 4players.
While Nightmare Dungeons will continue to be one ofDiablo 4’s most challenging activities, Blizzard’s action RPG is gearing up to start the season system. Somenew features await inDiablo 4Season 1, which has been named Season of the Malignant, including Malignant Tunnels. In this new type of dungeon,Diablo 4players can target-farm specific Malignant Hearts and make their characters even more powerful.
