Summary

Halo Infinitefans are calling for a classic feature to return, which last made an appearance in 2012’sHalo 4. If added, this potentialHalo Infiniteaddition could make pre-match lobbies more interesting once again.

It’s been a rough ride since 2021’sHalo Infinitelaunch, but at long last, it’s safe to say the game is in a good place. 343 Industries has done a great job of addressing the common player complaints and fixing them via patches. It has even got the community involved, with fan-made Forge maps and playlists making their way into the game. Just recently, 343 Industriesadded a mode toHalo Infinitethat has seriousCall of Duty Zombiesvibes, and that was completely made by dedicated fans. Because of these kinds of things, there’s always hope that any fan request could make it intoHalo Infinite.

Redditor MyChildWillIgnore started the conversation online, mentioning that they don’t have the time to care about the armor other players are wearing inHalo Infinite’s pre-match intros. Instead, they proposed a return to a feature last seen inHalo 4(but also found inReach), where pre-match lobbies would show the armor other Spartans had equipped. While it’s a simple feature, it’s one that most wouldn’t even notice until it’s gone. Given thecustomization inHalo Infiniteis arguably a series-best, a feature that encourages players to show off their armor would definitely be welcomed by the community.

Halo Infinite Fans Want Pre-Match Armor Displays to Return

Others in the thread took the idea even further, mentioning that the MVP showcase at the end of matches fromHalo 3could be another way for players to show off their armor. It certainly does seem strange that in a game where a lot of the customization is based on purchasing in-game items, the ability to actually show them off to other players is worse than it was in games over a decade old.EveryHalogamehas its own form of customization, but this suggestion would definitely be a big improvement forInfinite.

It’s set to be another big year forHalo Infinite. 343 Industries' updates to the game remain as frequent as ever, withHalo Infinite’s Operation Tenrai 4 set to release on June 4. It’s been awesome to seeHalo Infiniteevolve from its admittedly rough launch, and there’s definitely still a lot of life left in it yet, so long as 343 Industries remains committed as it currently is.
