Season 1, known asHeroes of Reach, is set to run through to May, with four more weeks of the Fracture: Tenrai event and Tactical Ops being planned.RELATED:Halo Infinite Cyber Showdown and Tactical Ops Event Dates LeakAs the name entails,Halo Infinite’s Cyber Showdown event will reportedly have a set of synthy cosmetics for players to deck their Spartan with. ReputableHalo Infiniteleaker, HaloNoticiasMX, shared some time ago an image containing a breakdown of Cyber Showdown’s rewards on Twitter, but has resurfaced as some of the cosmetics are getting spotlights. The biggest draw are the two cyber Armor Effects at Rank 5 and 10, the former adding a holographic blue and purple visor, and the latter adding a strobing pink and white mohawk. Due toHalo Infinite’s Armor Core customization system, it is currently unclear whether these effects are freely applicable or exclusive to the Mark 7 Core.

Besides the Armor Effects, there are a handful of other neat cosmetics players will be gunning for. Fortunately, there are no Challenge Swaps or XP Boosts here, just cosmetics, starting with a new, intense-looking Spartan Pose at Rank 1. In terms of physical cosmetics, there are pink Weapon and Armor Coatings, a kukri Weapon Charm, a minty green Visor, and a new orange Spartan AI color all up for grabs. As for Spartan ID items, there are two new Backdrops, one being a glitchy set of lines and the other being a Brute rocking out on a guitar, perhaps being a reference toCraig the Brute who is touring Zeta Halo.

Overall, Cyber Showdown looks like a continued strong showing event-wise forHalo Infiniteafter its rocky start with Fracture: Tenrai. At the beginning of that event, players were only earning one cosmetic for what felt like every two Challenge Swaps or XP Boosts, deincentiving players to continue completing the event’s challenges. While it’s uncertain what sort of challenges players will be trying to finish in Cyber Showdown, from cosmetics alone, this event seems much more enticing.

Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
