Occasionally a gaming clip will pop up on the internet that leaves viewers asking a simple question: How? In the case of Twitter user ClearlyMe’sHalo 3video, that couldn’t be more true. ClearlyMe has a habit ofturningHalointo more of a platformerthan it was ever intended to be, and this jump trick is absolutely insane.

Halo 3was recently re-released as part of theMaster Chief Collection, bringing the game to the Xbox One and adding a few new features. While there’s always been a devout fanbase for the game even 13 years since its launch, this new collection has reignited the spark in many prior fans as well.

This jumptrick requires expert calculation, precise landing and timing, and more likely than not a whole lot of attempts. Naturally, viewers only see the final successful attempt in which ClearlyMe makes the whole thing look easy, but it’s not recommended to try this at home and expect any success.

The clip starts with ClearlyMe throwing a grenade and firing a rocket off into the distance, seemingly at random (spoiler alert: it’s not random). He then leaps off the cliff in an attempt to make whatshould by all rights be an impossible jump, only to land on the debris from his rocket fire as it carries him across the gap. As that piece of metal begins to fall too low, he jumps off from it and successful jumps off a cone which went flying due to his grenade from earlier. In order to get this right, he had to time the delay of the grenade, aim the rocket at the exact right position, and get the jumps right.

In a follow up tweet to his own accomplishment (which he dubs “The Most Useless Thing [He’s] Done On Halo”), he jokingly states thatHaloshould give him acustom nameplateif he manages to get 1000 likes on his post. The video he shared already has over 2,000 likes at the time of writing, but his follow up post is resting uncomfortably at just over 300. Whether or notHalowill grant his request remains to be seen, but the Twitter account hasn’t made any comment on it.

Fans that like this sort of thing should be sure to check out ClearlyMe’s other stuff, as he frequently accomplishes insane feats like this. It’s also great proof that even after all this time,Halo 3is still going strong.

Halo 3is available now on PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
