TheGhost of Tsushima Director’s Cuthas finally been released and it comes with a whole heap of new content for players to enjoy. They can now access Iki Island andexploreall that it has to offer. There are nowsecret shrines, archery challenges, and competitive duels for players to take part in.

One of the new pieces of content thatGhost of Tsushimaplayers can enjoy is animal sanctuaries. There are a total of nine of them across the island and are the key to getting the Chiyoko’s Song trophy. Players should be sure to grab the Monkey See trophy along the way.
What Are Animal Sanctuaries?
Animal Sanctuaries are a new interactive element on Iki Island that allows players to interact with three different types of animals; deer, monkeys, and cats. There are three sanctuaries for each type of animal. To complete an animal sanctuary, players need to interact with the mat at the sanctuary to have Jin sit down and pick up his flute.
A wave pattern will then appear on the screen and players must tilt their controller up and down to keep the dot inside the wave lines. Once it is over, one of the animals will walk up and Jin will pet it. Each type of sanctuary willunlocka new charm for players to enjoy and completing all three of one animal sanctuary type with fully upgrade that animal’s charm.

Cat Sanctuary: West Of Zasho River
The first cat sanctuary is located to the west of Zasho River in a large field of flowers. No matter what cat sanctuary players discover first they will get the Nekoma’s Hunt charm that allows players to throw kunai during chain assassinations.
Later on, this charm will be upgraded to allow kunai to be used for normal assassinations. This charm is great for players going for a stealth build.

This sanctuary is located in the far northeastern section of Iki Island in Thunderhead Cliffs. It is on an island peninsula that is guarded by a few Mongols.Stealthy playerswill want to take out the hawks before running into the sanctuary.
Cat Sanctuary: Kidafure Battlefield
Okay, so this sanctuary is located on the northern edge of Kidafure Battlefield, east of Old Gambler’s Wood.

This is in the western part of the Iki Island map. Kidafure Battlefield is easy to spot and is constructed of buildings that have been overtaken by vegetation.
Deer Sanctuary: Sly Hunter’s Forest
To the east of where Jin first arrives onIki Island, players can find the first Deer Sanctuary. No matter which sanctuary players find first, they will obtain the Charm of Sugaru’s Sight.
This charm allows players to fire up to three arrows from their bow at one time (provided they have the ammo for it). After all the sanctuaries are discovered, the charm will make the player’s bow automatically target an enemy’s head.

Deer Sanctuary: Shattered Cliffs
This sanctuary is located on the western edge of Iki Island. Players who know whereFune’s Refugeis can head southwest to reach the sanctuary. This sanctuary is easily found by following the cliff face.
Deer Sanctuary: Zasho River
On the southern edge of Zasho river is where this sanctuary can be found. Zasho River is southwest ofYahata Forest. Cross the river to the island in the center that has now become a Mongol encampment. Players must first clear out this encampment before they can activate the sanctuary.
Monkey Sanctuary: Raider’s Promontory
In the farthest north section of Iki Island is the Raider’s Promontory. On the eastern side of the area is where players can find this sanctuary. There is also an archery challenge near the sanctuary.

Like the other sanctuaries, players will get a charm for discovering any of the Monkey Sanctuaries. This charm, named the Charm of Mashira’s Protection, extends the perfect parry and perfect dodge windows whenever a player heals.
Monkey Sanctuary: Saruiwa Overlook
Down in the southern part of Iki Island, to the west of Buddha’s Footprints, players can find the Saruiwa Overlook sanctuary. This is another sanctuary that has been taken over by Mongols, so players should be wary about just running in.
The monkeys of this sanctuary have been held captive by the Mongols and players can either free them while clearing theMongol campor wait for them to automatically be freed after clearing out all the Mongols.

Monkey Sanctuary: Saruiwa
Saruiwa is also in the south of Iki Island and can be seen across the water from the previous sanctuary. At the top of this mountain is the last sanctuary on the list. While players climb this mountain they should pay attention to honoring the three monkey statues to get the Monkey See trophy.
