Although the numbers for 2024 were higher, the viewers' excitement didn’t follow the trend.

This year’s Summer Game Fest’s reception was revealed in polls conducted by Keighley on his Twitter, where most viewers graded the show D or below on a parameter of A to D. Still, despite the audience’s frustration, it seems that Summer Game Fest garnered enough viewership for a 2025 edition, as announced by Geoff Keighley. TheSummer Game Fest livestreamon YouTube’s main channel peaked 37% higher than last year’s show. Keighley also said Summer Game Fest 2025 will see the return of Play Days from iam8bit, an invite-only event for media and content creators to play or get to know some of the games announced.
