A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more information about Kirara, a new character who is scheduled to arrive in update 3.7. Even though the two new 3.6 characters Baizhu and Kaveh have not even arrived yet, the game’s social media accounts already confirmed the arrival of a new character.
There is not a lot of information about Kirara other than the fact that she works for Komaniya Express, a popular delivery company in Inazuma. Her design is inspired by a Youkai, which is a mythical creature in Japanese folklore known for having multiple tails. This also makes sense lore-wise sinceGenshin Impact’s Inazuma region is based on the culture of Japan.

Kirara’s official splash artconfirmed that she will be a new Dendro character and credible leakers have revealed that she will be using a sword as her primary weapon. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed more information about Kirara’s kit. Her Elemental Skill will apparently have a press and a hold variation. Tapping the skill button will perform a kick and generate an elemental shield that lasts for 12 seconds and has an 8-second cooldown. Holding this skill will transform Kirara into a box state for 10 seconds.
During her box state, Kirara will receive a movement and climbing speed buff, and the leak confirmed that she will be slower thanthe Anemo user Sayu. According to the leak, the shield value will scale with Kirara’s max. HP which is very common for mostGenshin Impactsupports. Kirara’s Elemental Burst will make her throw a box at the enemy which will split into smaller particles and deal damage when in contact with an enemy, just like Klee’s Jumpy Dumpty.
This burst has a 15-second cooldown and costs 60 Energy. Once she has the first Passive Talent leveled up, Kirara’s skill will have an additional effect that grants one stack if she touches an enemy while in the box state. Based on the number of stacks, Kirara willgenerate a powerfulGenshin Impactshieldwhen the skill goes on cooldown. Kirara’s second Passive Talent will increase the damage of her Elemental Skill and Burst explosion based on her max. HP.
A lot of comments have pointed out that the strongest part of Kirara’s kit is probably that her shield duration is longer than the skill’s cooldown. While many fans seem excited about her kit, others are complaining that HoYoverse is yet to add afour-star sword toGenshin Impactthat provides HP for its secondary stat.
