A new leak fromGenshin Impactis teasing a major quality-of-life change coming for the game’s weekly bosses, allowing players to challenge bosses before completing their story. The roster of the HoYoverse RPG has grown substantially over the three years since the game’s initial launch, nowboasting more than 70 playable characters. One of the core mechanics to raising the game’s characters is seeking out the many materials needed to level them, including plants and ores as well as specific loot from enemies. Now, HoYoverse is looking to make one aspect of leveling characters easier for new players.
One ofGenshin Impact’s biggest pain points for new players has historically been obtaining the materials required to level the game’s newest characters. Each character requires a variety of materials in order to level up and ascend characters, including both regional items and drops from enemies. Bosses can be a particular struggle for players looking to level their characters, with the weekly bosses required for high-level Talents locked behind story progression. Now, a new change planned for Version 4.2 will allow players to battleGenshin Impact’s weekly bosses before reaching their story.
