AGenshin Impactplayer has pointed out an interesting detail about the four currently revealed Archons and a group of enemies known as slimes. The world of Teyvat has seven different major regions, each of which has sites respective God known as an Archon, whose main job is to protect the nation.
So farGenshin Impacthas introduced only four Archons: Mondstadt’s Venti, Liyue’s Zhongli, Inazuma’s Raiden Shogun, and the most recently added Sumeru Archon, better known as Lesser Lord Kusanali or Nahida. All of these characters have their Archon Quests which are usually the main quest lines for each of these regions.

Slimes are Elemental Lifeforms created from condensed elemental energy and they are known as one of themost common enemy types inGenshin Impact. Depending on the element they are infused with, the Slimes possess different abilities. Reddit user Redgomotor has shared an interesting post showing the connection between Archons and Slimes. Each different Slime enemy type in the game is apparently in a way similar to an Archon that shares the same element. For example, the post has pointed out that the Anemo Slime has the ability to fly, similar to the Anemo Archon Venti who can ride his own wind currents with the help of his Elemental Skill, Skyward Sonnet.
Venti was also one of the first playable units to join the roster back in update 1.0. Despite being one of the oldest characters in the game, he is still considered anS-tier support inGenshin Impact. Geo Slimes can equip themselves with a strong shield just like Liyue’s Archon Zhongli. His Dominus Lapidis can produce the strongest shield in the game which makes him a must-have for teams that feature a DPS who needs additional protection like Xiao or Hu Tao.
Zhongli could soon be featured on a Limited Character Banner considering that his last appearance was back in update 3.0. There are two versions of Dendro Slimes in the game, and they have different model sizes. The smaller one apparently representsthe current Dendro Archon Nahidawho is the only Archon so far to have a child model.
The larger Dendro Slime could be a symbolic resemblance to theold Dendro Archon known as Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, who was portrayed as a taller character in the game’s official cutscenes and trailer videos. Rukkhadevata perished during the infamous cataclysm events 500 years before the current timeline.
