A newGenshin Impactchart shows the revenue difference between the two characters that are featured on the current banner, Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe. Updates are usually divided into two banner cycles, each of which features one or two five-star characters and three four-star units.
The banner has a decent four-star lineup that includes two Cryo characters, Diona and Mika, as well as the Anemo catalyst Sucrose. Mika is one of the two new characters that were added inGenshin Impactversion 3.5. The first part of the update featured the new five-star Pyro user Dehya who’s officially scheduled to join the Standard Banner once 3.6 arrives.

AGenshin Impactchart posted by Reddit user TimocaSamJa shows the sales difference between Ayaka and Shenhe. According to the post, Shenhe is responsible for around 57% of the banner revenue while Ayaka attracted 43% of the sales. Many fans claim that they were not expecting Shenhe to outsell Ayaka on this banner considering that the younger Kamisato sibling is a much morepopular character in theGenshin Impactcommunity. The main reason behind this is probably that this is Shenhe’s first banner re-run while Ayaka already had multiple banner appearances. It should be noted that the data only represents iOS devices on the Chinese server and the overall sales could be much different.
Shenhe was releasedback inGenshin Impactupdate 2.4that dropped during the Lantern Rite Festival over a year ago. One of the reasons why fans didn’t expect Shenhe’s sales to be so high is the fact that she’s a very niche character since her kit revolves around having as many Cryo users around her as possible. Thanks to her Elemental Skill, Shnhe can significantly increase the damage of her party’s Cryo-infused Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks.
The Permafreeze team is probably the best choice for this character since she can constantly apply the Cryo element. She has great synergy with Ayaka and players who acquired both five-stars can build their teams around them. At the moment, Kamisato Ayaka is considered by many to be thestrongest DPS character inGenshin Impactwhen it comes to dealing elemental damage.
While she’s still an S-tier character, her pick rate has slightly decreased afterHoYoverse introduced the new Dendro reactions. Even though Cryo was never directly nerfed, the fact that it cannot trigger any of the six new elemental reactions has made the element and its users feel slightly isolated in the current character meta.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
