Toiletpapermerc also found their childhood Game Boy Color and a copy of the second generation game,Pokemon Silver, and uploaded a photo of their nostalgic discovery online via a recent post on the r/gaming subreddit. ThisPokemon Game Boy collectionstill worked even after all these years, but community members pointed out that the cartridges may no longer have any saves, in-game clocks, and time-based events due to their age.

Like Toiletpapermerc, another Reddit user named Rubmiferfound their old Game Boy Colorat their family’s home and shared the discovery online. A copy ofPokemon Redthat surprisingly still had Rubmifer’s 20-year-old save file was even inserted in the handheld system.
