After some major teases and a noteworthy leak caused by the PlayStation Store, theTerminatorfranchise’s crossover withFortnitehas officially begun. With two new skins available in the item shop now,Fortniteplayers can expect to see some familiar faces running around the island.
Originallyteased via an audio log like otherFortnitecrossover characters,Terminatorprotagonist Sarah Connor’s arrival was teased by Agent Jonesy. After he describing her and the destroyed, time travel-filled world she came from, it was only a matter of time before the machine-killing survivor made her way toFortnite. Soon after this teaser, Connor’s design leaked via PlayStation, as did her T-800 companion.

While many players got an early look at theTerminatorskins via the PlayStation Store leak, their official arrival date was still unconfirmed. However, yesterday Epic Games revealed that the skins are available now, and did so with a short trailer. Giving players some insight into how Jonesy brought the T-800 and Sarah Connor intoFortnite, the clip shows theFortnitecharacter opening a portal into the world ofTerminator 2— specifically during the film’s ending.
Arriving just asArnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800descends into lava and gives viewers the iconic thumbs up, Jonesy grabs its hand. He pulls the T-800 out of the lava and into theFortniteuniverse as the short video concludes, and the scene serves as an excellent homage. Jonesy’s latest recruit is intimidating in the battle royale game as well, showing off the fully exposed mechanical look. Like with previous crossovers, this bit of backstory is both a fun nod to the crossover characters’ original appearances as well as a good way to further establishFortnite’s story.
Players can get Sarah Connor for 1800 V-Bucks, the T-800 for 1500 V-Bucks, and both characters in the same bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks. From Marvel and DC superheroes to video game legends like Master Chief and Kratos, the Terminator and Sarah Connor have plenty of other icons to do battle with onFortnite’s island. The list of crossover characters seems set to expand too, as aTomb RaiderandFortnitecrossoverhas also been leaked. With a vast majority ofFortniteleaks proving to be true, players may get to play out an unexpected battle between Sarah Connor and Lara Croft in the near future.
As for the T-800, there may not be abetter match-up than The Predator. Seeing the two 1980s movie icons clash was likely a dream for many kids at the time, and now that fantasy match-up can become a reality inside ofFortnite— with players battling it out to finally determine who would win between the futuristic robot and alien hunter.
Fortniteis available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
