WhenFortniteSeason 2, trailer dropped, fans noticed a helicopter flying in the background. Now, it looks like that helicopter will be coming toFortniteas a vehicle, at least according to a new leak.

The leak comes by way of a Twitter post by ofFortintecontent creator HYPEX. HYPEX is a data miner who looks into the code ofFortniteto try and decipher what will be coming to the game next. He’s the user behind theleak of Locker Loadouts last month. He tweeted about the upcoming vehicle earlier today.

According to HYPEX’s data, the Helicopter will have 1500 HP, which means it should take a significant amount of firepower to bring one down. They will also be able to boost, and will damage players if driven into them, which is similar to how theQuadcrasher worked when it was in theFortnite.

The Helicopter will be accompanied by a new emote celebrating its inclusion. Again this is according to HYPEX, wholeaked other newFortniteemotes earlier this month. The new emote will be called “Get to the Choppa,” a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic line in the 1987 scifi filmPredator. There will also be a number of other new Emotes coming to the game, the full list of which can be seen below.

Anther leak today shows that the Helicopter be very powerful.  FrenchFortniteleaker Yanteh posted some leaked stats to Twitter today which show just what a challenge taking on a helicopter will be. The Helicopter will do 50-70 damage to players, and 150-450 damage to buildings. If driven full speed into a player, The Helicopter will do 100 damage, which is enough to one shot a player at full health. Yikes!

If the Helicopter is as powerful as it looks like it might be, it may prove to be unpopular with the player base. Vehicles have been controversial inFortnitesince theShopping Cart first dropped back in 2018. They’ve often been significantly over powered, giving an unfair advantage to players who get to them first.

On the other hand, adding to new content like vehicles helps keepFortnitefeeling fresh, and brings new experiences to players. And Epic Games has been more than comfortable nerfing vehicles , like theX-4 Stormwing Plane which was overpowered upon release. So it’s probably not worth getting too worried about the power level of The Helicopter, at least not yet.

Fortniteis available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
