Thankfully, the delay forFortnite’s Season 3 content is fairly short term, only being pushed back a week from the original date of June 4. However, some content may have been leaked ahead of time hinting that a massive flood may be the major doomsday event that will kick off Season 3 of Chapter 2.

Unsurprisingly,Fortnitehas been seeing a lot of buzz lately. The battle royale has been the powerhouse of the wider gaming community as a whole for quite some time now, and Epic Games continues to support its titan well into its lifespan. Just recently, Epic managed to secure thedebut screening of theTenettrailerFortnite. The debut was an interesting move to get the trailer in front of a large group of eyes and make it pick up heavy news traction, despite being a move that not many people saw coming.
Now,Fortniteis shifting its focus on Season 3 content. Recently, thegame’s loading screens have shown off timerscounting down to the next doomsday event. While many players have begun to speculate on what the doomsday event could be this time around, some dataminers may have already uncovered the answer. These leakers have found evidence that a massive flood might serve as the doomsday event after uncovering new and updated swimming animations.
It’s important to remember that none of this information is set-in-stone and is all still in the realm of speculation, but it is still noteworthy. It would make sense for updated swimming animations to be added to the game’s code with Chapter 2 Season 3 right around the corner. That’s not the only thing that leakers have uncovered recently, as leaks haveconfirmed the return of rift beacons. While there is still a chance that these leaks and datamines could be false, there’s a very likely possibility that this is evidence of Epic gearing up for Season 3.
For now, all fans can do is wait and prepare for the start of Season 3. Though with the recent delay, many players are wonderingwhen Season 2 ends now that Season 3 is delayed. The transition was supposed to take place at the end of April and then got moved to June 4. Now that it has been delayed again to June 11, fans are left to wonder when exactly Season 2 will end and Season 3 kicks off.
