Summary
Dataminers have shared information that hints at the possibility of the default skin being included in the upcomingFortniteBattle Pass.FortniteChapter 4 Season 4’s end date is closer than ever, and many fans are now focused on trying to uncover as much information as possible about the next season. ThefirstFortnitein-game teasershave been released, this season’s storyline has reached its final stage, and some content creators have even received strange packages in the mail related to the upcoming content.
On top of the speculation, Mark Rein, the co-founder of Epic Games, revealed that the next season’s theme could be summed up in one word: Rewind. With all the information that has been provided so far, gamers quickly reached the conclusion thatFortnitewill go back in time to Chapter 1. More specifically, it’s likely that the next season will be parallel to Chapter 1 Season 5, since that’s the date displayed on Kado Thorne’s time machine.
With Chapter 4 Season 4 coming to an end soon, dataminers have been working hard in order to unveil as much as they can. The images for the new Battle Royale game modes were uploaded to the server, and they’ve already been leaked. It seems that the default skins will be the face of Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists. Since the playlist images usually containFortniteBattle Pass skins, it could be that these skins will no longer be available as default skins but given away as part of the Battle Pass; perhaps they’ll even have a select style for each character model.
Some fans were dissatisfied to see that the defaults featured in the image are not the “OG no skins,” but this could have an explanation that might just change their minds. If the Chapter 1 theme turns out to be true, it’s possible thatFortnitewill resort to using the original default skins as the game’s no skin option instead of these more recent models with different clothing.
There’s no doubt that Epic Games will be using nostalgia to its advantage; the company is working hard to connect with older fans. Back in Chapter 1, not everyone had tons of skins, and it was much more common to see a player using a default skin. As a result, the OG no skins quickly becameicons forFortniteveterans. Perhaps the OG defaults will return once the next season starts, and this could be one of the several aspects of the game that Epic Games wants to bring back.
Fortniteis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
