InFallout 76, there are many side quests to take on, including The Order of the Tadpole. This quest allows players to join the Pioneer Scouts, becoming a Possum after receiving their merit badges from the Scout Leader. However, becoming a part of the Pioneer Scouts is a lot more difficult than you might expect.

Players will need to do a few exams, find a bunch of resources, and complete a few additional tasks to prove their worthiness. For those who are still working on this quest and aren’t sure how to complete it, here’s everything you need to do to officially join the Pioneer Scouts.

How to Complete Order of the Tadpole in Fallout 76

To get started on the Order of the Tadpole side quest, make your way towards thePioneer Scout Camp, shown on the map image above. It can be found just north of the Grafton Dam. Once you walk into the area, the quest will automatically unlock.

Find the Source of the Noises

For the first section of the quest, make your way into the campgrounds, heading towards the music. ApproachScout Leader Jaggyin the small area, who is the robot wearing a hat. He will tell you about the Pioneer Scouts, and he will ask you to get started on obtaining badges.

Kindness: Revive an Ally

For this section, there won’t be a specific location to do this. Instead, all you will need to do iscompete in an online eventand revive an ally with aStimpak. You can easily find events on the map in theWorld Activitysection.

Helpfulness: Clean Up Kiddie Corner Cabins

To start this section, make your way to theKiddie Corner Cabins, which you can find north on the map nearby to Clarksburg. When you get here, approach Scout Leader Pompy to get started. You can use the second map image to locate all 5 locations of the toxic mutagenic waste you’ll need to pick up. Afterward, dump all the toxic mutagenic waste in thecontainershown in the last image.

Bravery: Control Pests at Dolly Sods

For this part, head over to theDolly Sods Wilderness buildingin the eastern section of the map. When you arrive, talk to Pioneer Scout Leader Treadly. You will need to get afew different insect parts.

To start, you can find a Bloodbug Proboscis north, near theHunter’s Shack. For Radroach Meat, you can get this south of the Carson Family Bunker orinside the bunker. As for the Stingwing Barb, you can find itsoutheastofThe Burrows South. The Tick Blood Sac can be foundsouthwestofThe Burrows South. Finally, you can get a Bloatfly GlandnorthofAbbie’s Bunkerand the Highland Marsh. Keep in mind that you don’t have to visit these specific locations, you can get the materials wherever the insects can be found. After you’ve gotten them all, return to Pioneer Scout Leader Treadly.

Growth: Earn 3 Badges

For this last part, you will need to earn 3 badges. You can find these under theChallengessection on the map and scroll down to the’World’section. They will be labeled with ‘Tadpole’ at the beginning. There are tons of options here, and you can get started on them by taking a Pioneer Scout Exam. VisitCamp Adams, shown in the map image above, or any other camp location. Head inside the Knowledge Exams room and choose the test you want to take. There will only befivequestions, but they are random and there are tons of question possibilities. However, if you don’t pass, you can take it again. You can find the answers to theMammalogist examabove.

After completing the exam, you’ll need to finish 10 other tasks. Check theChallengessection on the map, and scroll to the badge you want to earn. Click on it, and it will show you the remaining tasks, such astaking a picture of a Brahminfor the Mammalogist badge, crafting Antibiotics for the Medic badge, and more. Once you’ve successfully earned at least three badges, return toScout Leader Jaggyat the Pioneer Scout Camp north of the Grafton Dam. You will then officially become a Possum Scout with the Pioneer Scouts.
