BecauseFallout 4offers nearly unlimited replay value with its settlement-building feature, many players have plugged dozens of hours into the RPG, including one that has made an incredible custom castle. SinceFallout 4was released in 2015, many players have altered the entire Boston landscape with game-changing mods enabled, but this player continues to find value in the base game with minimal modding.
A Reddit user recently shared aFallout 4screenshot of their castle settlement that has gone viral for its genius attention to detail using the basic building tools.Fallout 4’s Nuka-Worldand Automatron expansions added more items to the settlement feature, but Bethesda made a point from the beginning to offer limitless potential with the initial lineup and settlement locations. Though manyFallout 4players have branched out to their favorite settlements around the Boston commonwealth, many like this Reddit user have stuck to the original one, Sanctuary Hills.

Reddit user Sirbalz has garnered 10,400 upvotes on a screenshot of their incredibleFallout 4Sanctuary Hillswhich has been designed to look like a castle. There are six stone towers with protective columns that reach fairly high up that are connected by castle walls, with Sirbalz sitting in a red chair flanked by their companion Dogmeat and two settlers behind them. There are metal spikes pointing out from either side of the customizedFallout 4character in Sirbalz’s screenshot, and these are wrapped in barbed wire as if to defend the area from Deathclaws.
Sirbalz has shared a video revealing every detail about their impressiveFallout 4castle build, showing a gothic interior decorated mostly with skulls and mod items that are obstructed from outside view. There are multiple red and yellow paintings inside the castle that wouldn’t be in mostotherFallout 4buildsgiven the custom nature, with what appears to be a torture chamber in the middle. There are characters inside that share a different aesthetic from the team highlighted by Sirbalz, showing even more of a juxtaposition between the inside and outside of this enormous castle.
Although the interior of Sirbalz’s castle would require some mods,otherFallout 4modscould help players express themselves a little better if they aren’t as interested in the gothic aesthetic. With Sirbalz’s impressive castle spanning across most of Sanctuary Hills, it’s likely to cost aFallout 4player significant materials to replicate if they’re playing without mods that help with supplies.
