Summary
AFallout 4player has recreated the dastardly duo Yzma and Kronk from the 2000 Disney animated comedy filmThe Emperor’s New Grooveas playable characters. Most Disney kids and millennials will be familiar withThe Emperor’s New Groove, which starred David Spade as Kuzco, an entitled emperor who’s turned into a llama. Yzma and Kronk are the perpetrators behind the diabolical scheme, and one dedicated fan has fashioned a male and female model inFallout 4after two ofThe Emperor’s New Groove’s best characters.
Patrick Warburton and the late Eartha Kitt provide the voices for Kronk and Yzma, respectively. The Emperor’s New Groovebecame an instant cult classic upon release and spawned a sequel,Kronk’s New Groove, in 2005. Disney Channel also aired a spin-off series that chronicled Kuzco’s rise to the throne inThe Emperor’s New School, which ran from 2006 to 2008. When Kuzco fires Yzma for plotting to overthrow him, she enlists the help of Kronk to render Kuzco powerless and ascend to the throne before the news breaks of her termination. DespiteFallout 4releasing 15 years afterThe Emperor’s New Groove, the weird and wonderful crossover was bound to happen someday, though theDisney Dreamlight Valleycommunity got there first.

Over on Reddit (viaImgur), user buttersthestutterer shared images of their character creation screen inFallout 4. Before embarking on their journey, players must construct two characters, one of whom is the Sole Survivor and the other their husband/wife. TheFalloutcommunity is known to be endlessly creative as proven by past instances, such asaFalloutfan recreating the Sole Survivor’s house inThe Sims.Although Yzma and Kronk as a romantic couple is certainly an interesting choice, the most amusing part of the post is how much theFallout 4characters bear a striking resemblance to the Disney duo. The post is titled “Pull the lever Kronk!” after Yzma’s infamous catchphrase, and while Kronk is as close to handsome as can be, Yzma’s model is the stuff of nightmares.

Anotherarchived postfrom u/Furcifer_ shared an additional image ofFallout 4’s take on Kronk and Yzma, this time with Yzma being entirely bald. Yzma is actually canonically bald in the film, wearing wigs and headpieces to disguise the few stray hairs growing from the top of her scalp, usually favoring a bejeweled purple turban. Although she claims to be a sorceress of sorts, Yzma is more akin to a mad scientist. Eartha Kitt delivers a memorable performance that many fans remember Yzma and Kronk’s interactions more than the main character Kuzco himself, a phenomenon thathappens a lot in the gaming industryas well.
It would be entertaining if either of the aforementioned Reddit users ever played an entire session ofFallout 4as Kronk or Yzma. OneFallout 4fan recently created Pedro Pascal’s Joelfrom HBO’sThe Last of Usseries, a character who would likely do well inFallout 4’s unforgiving world.
