Fall Guysseason 2 kicked off earlier today, bringing new goodies and stages along with it. The medieval-themed season of content will likely be seeing the addition of another gaming crossover, though, asFall Guyshas seen aSonic the Hedgehogskin leaked online.
While theknight and wizard skins added toFall Guysare certainly cute, Sonic may take the cake in terms of adorableness. Featuring the classic red boots worn by the speedster and his trademark blue fur, the look is spot on. A pair of big white gloves and spiky hair on the back of the bean’s head only completes the Sonic cosplay, with the newFall Guysoutfit looking pretty impressive.

While the leak including an image of the costume is pretty damning and almost guarantees the skin’s inclusion, the source for the leak only adds to the likelihood of Sonic joiningFall Guys. ReputableFortniteleaker Hypex, known for leaking many of the battle royale’s Marvel skins as well as theupcomingFortniteHalloween content, has been proven right many times in the past. With an image for the skin being posted along with the Tweet from Hypex, it seems all but guaranteed that gaming’s most well-known hedgehog will be arriving in season 2.
This is not the first timeFall Guyshas seen a gaming crossover, as Mediatonic’s popular collection of party games has seen a few characters make cameos already. Early on, multiple Steam crossovers happened, with Gordon Freeman fromHalf LifejoiningFall Guysalong with the Scout fromTeam Fortress. Chell and P-Body ofPortalfame made appearances as well, andFall Guys even received aneat crossover with the indie gameGris.
Based on past skins and now the inclusion of Sonic, the door is clearly open for far more video game crossovers inFall Guys. The game’s PS4 console exclusivity could possibly lead to many new skins based on PlayStation icons, but it remains to be seen if any crossovers happen with Sony-owned characters. At the very least,Fall Guysfans will be getting aSonic the Hedgehogcrossover, which is yet another win for the character in 2020. Withbig plans in store for Sonic’s 30th anniversarynext year, the character does not seem to be going anywhere soon.
With the leaked skin still a good bit away, though,Fall Guysplayers can view the season 2 patch notesto get an idea of what content can be accessed right now. With a new battle pass, game mode, and costumes, there should be plenty to do until Sonic is seen speeding across Slime Climb.
Fall Guysis available now on PC and PlayStation 4.
