Eternalsisn’t doing well with reviews. However, what viewers feel about the movie doesn’t matter though. It’s here to stay and it’s up to fans to accept that. As is the case with allMarvelmovies,Eternalsintroduces a lot of setups for future MCU projects.

Even if this was a misstepfor the comicsand films, the thingsEternalssets up could be stellar so there is hope. What questions are fans left with by the end? When will these things be answered and introduced in MCU films and shows? There will be spoilers ahead in an attempt to make sense of it all.
8The Black Knight
Viewers may have been wondering why Kit Harrington was cast in the film when he was barely in it. The answer became clear with the final post-credits scene of the film involving his character, Dane Whitman, opening up a sword case. Dane becomes the hero known as the Black Knightin the comics.
This scene indicates that Dane will return in an Eternals sequel or with a standalone film. Both answers could be true. There’s also a mystery on who that voice was talking to him. It could be either his uncle or dad, based on comic history.

7Is Ikaris Really Dead?
The film really wants viewers to understand thatthe comic versionof Ikaris is the same as the Icarus of Greek legend. There are many references to him flying too close to the sun before Ikaris literally flies into the sun. Is that really the end of him?
His body is shown to catch fire but let’s remember that he is a god. If anyone can withstand the fires of the sun it’s a god. It’s almost 90% certain Ikaris is dead but as there was no explicit death shown so he could still come back.

6Kingo And Sprite
Kingo decides to stay on Earth to pursue his movie career as does Sprite. She doesn’t have a choice in the matter though since she gave away all of her god-like powers to become a human.

Presumably, she is going to be living with Kingo as she attends school. Even though she no longer has powers, it’s safe to assume Sprite, along with Kingo, will return inan MCU filmat some point. Since they’re bound to Earth, they may even meet anAvengeror two.
5What Were The Other Marvel Heroes Up To?
Whenever something huge happens on Earth, it’s hard not to think about the other known heroes in the MCU. Surely someone looked into the earthquakes that occurred throughout the movie. Also, it’s hard to believe that no superhero ran into a Deviant besides the Eternals.
If those two things didn’t catch the attention of Earth’s mightiest heroes then a giant coming out of the ocean surely hit someone’s radar.Dr. Strangeseems like the most logical character who would have responded to something as cosmic as gods from space.

4How Old Are The Eternals?
It is revealed in the movie that the Eternals crew have been reborn with new memories many times over. They have witnessed planets being destroyed and born countless times. How long has this been happening though?
For that matter, have they always looked like Earth humanoids? It would stand to reason that their looks also change. It would be odd to see Earthling flesh blend in with a planet of blue people for example.

3Eros And Pip
Thegreat titan Thanoshad many allies he may have called brothers in arms along with two adopted daughters in the MCU. It was never mentioned that he had an actual brother until the post-credits scene was shown in this film. The first scene shows a troll, Pip, announcing the arrival of Eros aka Thanos’ brother.

In the comics, they are indeed brothers but this may be a case of adoption again. The MCU has made these characters their own. However, they are truly related isn’t important. It’s what Pip and Eros mean for the future of the MCU.
2Ego, Peter, And The Celestials
It might be hard to remember since this film came out a while ago, but it was mentioned inGuardians of the Galaxy 2that Ego was a Celestial. That makes Peter a half-Celestial which is how he acquires the powers he does in that film. It makes sense that Ego is a Celestial given that he is a planet.
What’s not known is if other Celestials can transform into humans like he can. Arishem could return in a future MCU film not as a colossal Celestial, but as a Celestial in disguise. It’s also safe to assume Peter will get roped into an Eternals conflict at some point given his bloodline. Maybe this will get addressed inthe game seriestoo.

1Earth’s Core Is Ruined, Right?
It’s great that the Eternals saved the day and stopped Tiamat from being completely born. However, it still emerged partly from Earth’s core. It sleeping doesn’t negate any damage Tiamat already made to the Earth’s core.
The planet could be doomed which might lead to thefuture of the MCU. Maybe some heroes need to turn back time again to prevent the Celestial from being planted on Earth in the first place.
