As mentioned earlier, it destroys everything it touches, so you’re able to only stay in the Shrouded area for a short period. Luckily, there are some tips that can help you survive longer in the Shroud.
Tips for Surviving Longer in the Shroud
The Shroud is a malevolent blight that has taken over the world inEnshrouded. Entering the Shrouded area triggers a timer, and if you don’t exit before it runs out, you die. Here are some ways players can prolong their stay in the Shroud:
Reset the Timer
In the Shrouded area, you should look for items with red smoke. When you interact with these objects, your Shroud time will increase. So keep an eye on the benches, and once found, interact with them to reset the Shroud timer.
Strengthen the Altar’s Flame
To stay longer in the Shroud, you shouldstrengthen the flame of the Flame Altar. To do so, you’ll need to visit the Flame Altar. From the menu that opens, choose the option to strengthen the altar. The menu will also show you the list of items you need to upgrade the flame level.
Every time you upgrade your flame level, you add an extra minute to the Shroud time. By default, you can stay in the Shrouded area for five minutes, but with one Flame Altar upgrade, it extends to six minutes. The final upgrade boosts this time to 10 minutes. However, collecting the required materials may take some time.
Shroud Survival Potions
The game also features Shroud Survival Flasks that can increase your stay in the Shroud. Each time you use a flask, it will increase your time by two minutes. You can find these potions in chests or craft them yourself after unlocking the Alchemist.
Another helpful tip is to stay aware of your surroundings and look for unshrouded areas. This way, if you need to make a quick escape, you’ll already know where to go.
