Summary
Keen Games releasedEnshroudedin January 2024. It launched successfully to very positive reviews. It is notable for its large map, which has been entirely hand-crafted. In an age when many game developers rely onprocedurally generatedcontent to add breadth to a game,Enshroudedis a breath of fresh air in this regard.
AlthoughEnshroudeddoesn’t have distinctly defined character classes in the same way some otheraction roleplaying gamesdo, it does have a skill tree that lets the player specialize in different weapons and playstyles. There is an entire part of the skill tree that is given over to warrior-type skills, for example. Starting out inEnshroudedmeans gearing up to tackle the game properly, and finding warrior weapons is pretty straightforward in this game.

The Basic Melee Weapon New Players Get During The Introduction
Stats:
Once the new player has woken up and begun the introductory quest to locate a place for their base on the plains, they will be guided to a room that is hidden behind a pile of mud. Once they have destroyed the mud wall, the room behind contains a chest. In this chest is the Hatchet. Most RPG games such asSkyrimhave starter quests, andEnshroudedis no different.
This is as basic as melee weapons get inEnshrouded. Players can use this weapon while they are farming loot orgathering the resourcesto craft a better one. Put simply, this weapon needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

A Commonly Looted Bladed Weapon At The Start Of The Game
The Rusty Sword is a very common drop from enemy NPCs in the Shroud areas. There are a handful of small Shroud areas near the player starting area. The player will also be sent through a larger Shroud area as part of the Blacksmith crafting NPC quest. It is likely that the player will loot this weapon early on because of this.
However, the Rusty Sword doesn’t bring anything to the table that the Hatchet all players receive as part of the introductory quests doesn’t provide. It is useful as a backup weapon, though, for times when the player’s main weapon has reached zero durability and they are far from a repair station.

Crating requirements:
The Scrappy Sword is an entirely useable bladed weapon for most of the first part ofEnshrouded. However, the player will need to track down the sleeping Blacksmith crafting NPC and free them before they can craft this weapon. The resources needed to craft this weapon are very easy to find and can be farmed in a few minutes from closeby low-level POI.
With 16 damage, the Scrappy Sword is quite capable of taking the player all the way through until they can loot the Wailing Blade a few hours into the game. Put simply, players who prefer swords just need to craft this weapon and then rely on looted weapons going forward.

A Useful Two-Handed Axe With A Parry Bonus
The Executioner’s Axe is a common loot item that is found in low-level chests that are dotted around the new-player friendly POI, close to the starting area. It won’t take the player long to loot one of these, if they are spending time farming some POI.
With the small parry bonus, and excellent durability, this is a solid choice for a starter warrior weapon that can carry the player until they loot the Wailing Blade a few hours of gameplay in. Overall, a slight upgrade over the Scrappy Sword, but a worthwhile alternative.

A Useful Two-Handed Mace With A Parry Bonus
The Masterful Mace is the blunt damage version of the previous weapon on this list, the Executioner’s Axe. As with all two-handed warrior weapons inEnshrouded, the player can’t equip a shield when using this mace. However, the weapon itself can be used to block.
This weapon is often found in low-level chests dotted around the POI that are close to the new player area. It could be worth spending some time using the game reload trick to try and spawn one of these in a chest early on in the game for warriors.

The spiked club can be crafted by the player without needing to unlock the Blacksmith crafting NPC. All the player has to do is craft it straight out of their backpack resources. They will need to craft some nails first if they did not loot one whilst going through the introductory scene on the way to the plains.
This weapon is a solid choice for the first weapon for a player who wants to be a warrior inEnshrouded. It is a decent upgrade over the hatchet that they are given during the introduction scene.

The Enhanced Spiked Club is a pretty good weapon, considering that it is so easy to acquire. However, the player is going to need to locate and free the Blacksmith crafting NPC and complete his quests to unlock the forge. Once the forge has been placed close to the Blacksmith, the Enhanced Spike Club blueprint will be unlocked.
The player will need to spend a little time looting some of the low-level POI around the starting area to get the copper bars and charcoal that are needed to craft this weapon, but these are both easily found.

The Easiest To Get Legendary Weapon For Warriors
At first glance, the Wailing Blade doesn’t deserve the top place on this list. It has lower damage and worse durability than some of the warrior weapons already covered. Despite this, the Waling Blade is still the best weapon for two reasons. Firstly, it glows. This means the player won’t need to keep switching to a torch in dark places. Secondly, it has 5 upgrade slots. Once this weapon is fully upgraded it is much more powerful.
Acquiring the Waling Blade is pretty simple. The player simply needs to clear out the Scavenger POI a short distance from the starting area. Once this has been done, they will be given a marker the, the Scavenger Stash, and the Wailing Blade is in the chest at the stash location.
