AnElden Ringplayer put on their best Santa costume and went forth unto the Lands Between, even finding a chimney to jump into.Elden Ringis no stranger to players manifesting fictional characters from outside the game, and what better time to create the reindeer-riding resident of the North Pole.
FromSoftware veterans are well aware that once the initial hype has subsided and thousands have completed their journeys through Lordran, Drangleic, or the Lands Between, one thing remains: fashion. AlthoughElden Ringdoes not feature many elements that have come to be considered customary regarding customization, such as a transmog system or color dyes, the community remains dedicated to crafting the fruits of their imaginations by any means necessary. Beloved characters from other franchises are often popular inspirations, and with the recent release ofGod of War Ragnarok, the God of Thunder found himself whisked away to a landfar from the Nine Realms.

As Christmas approached, Santa was inevitably bound to make an appearance, and one creative player made it so. A festive montage was posted to Reddit by sleepy_sheepy96, which began with Santa on the closest vehicle to a sled available -a carriage pulled by two trolls in the Consecrated Snowfield. The camera pans as “Fall Asleep On Christmas Relaxing Jazz” plays in the background, an apt piece of music that builds upon Rudolph’s arrival. They ride the carriage together, and it is at this point viewers are offered a good look at “Santa Claws,” so named due to the Bloodhound Claws they have equipped.
After a face reveal that showcases a skillfully constructed snow-white beard, Santa gives a brief tour of his workshop. Using the Ground Slam Ash of War, Santa then concludes his montage by falling through a chimney found in Volcano Manor, and uses clever editing to land on a lit fire. The player credited bsmiff for cosplaying as Rudolph, a character who also made a montage for the community to enjoy, spending time inElden Ring’s newly added Colosseums.
Comments particularly enjoyed Santa’s chimney exploits, and thanked the user for putting a “big smile on my face Christmas Eve,” as others praised the “wonderful edit.” Elsewhere in theElden Ringcommunity, players have beensharing their proudest moments in the Lands Betweenand reminiscing about the game that gave them so many fond memories this year.
Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
