Tarnished will need more than just quick-wits and dodge rolls to make it through the Lands Between ofElden Ring. There are tons of weapons and spells to unlock, as well as an array of awesome armor sets, but some bosses and enemies provide an extra challenge that can test even the most stalwart of players. Thankfully, From Software added some pretty powerful Talismans to the game to help players gain an edge by infusing their builds with additional stat boosts or resistances.

One of the best Talismans that players can get their hands on is the Dagger Talisman, which will help enhance critical hits for Tarnished that are building as damage-heavy as possible and want to eviscerate their foes with critical strikes. Those that want to snag the Dagger Talisman to use with their backstab and parry-heavy builds will need to head all the way to the Volcano Manor to gain access to it. Here’s how players can find the Dagger Talisman inElden Ring.

Where Is The Dagger Talisman Located In Elden Ring?

To find the Dagger Talisman, players need to first make their way far North from the starting area and enter Mt. Gelmir. Here, they will findVolcano Manor and its appropriate questlines. Although walking all the way to the location is a viable option, players will first need topiece together the Dectus Medallionor make their way up the Ruin-Strewn Precipice to gain access to the Altus Plateau. Only then can they head to the Northwest portion to enter theconnecting zone of Mt. Gelmir.

Thankfully, there are multiple pathways to Volcano Manor, for players that don’t feel like braving all the dangers to make it to the fiery location. Once players arrive at Volcano Manor, they’ll need to head from the Site of Grace and take a left down the hallway. Entering the first room on the right, players will find a corpse on the ground and be able to access a hidden wall behind it by slashing it with a weapon. Making their way through the darkness, players will eventually arrive in Prison Town. After a lengthy and danger-filled trek through the area, players will eventually have to face the Godskin Noble enemy,a particularly difficult bossfor those that are unprepared.

The real trek for the Dagger Talisman starts after players unlock the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace (which opens once the Godskin Noble is defeated). From there, players can take the elevator to the right upward and then hop over the balcony outside to trek up a hillside and towards a previously inaccessible part of Prison Town. The pathway is a bit convoluted, and players will have to pass through two doors locked by Stonesword Imps (requiring Stonesword Keys to open). Those that are struggling to find the pathway can follow along with the video below.

What Does The Dagger Talisman Do?

The Dagger Talisman is pretty straightforward. It will boost a Tarnished’s Critical Damage by 17 percent, allowing them to hit harder whenever they manage to score a critical hit. This makes it the perfect Talisman for players that likesneaking around and scoring backstab attacks on enemies. It’s also ideal for those that have the skills to parry their opponents, as it will increase the amount of damage players do when scoring a critical strike after a parry. With players unlocking four different Talisman slots by the end of the game, the Dagger Talisman can be a great addition to any damage-based build. It is important to note, though, that this increase in critical damage does not extend to headshots with bows or other ranged items.
