7EXPcaliber

A unique and legendary melee weapon makes its way intoDying Light. This sharp melee weapon can be found in a scripted encounter, and it involves the player venturing to the Fisherman’s Village in the southeast part of the Slums. Here, they will want to swim out to a rocky island, an island thatcould be safe during the night.

On this island, players must hold the action button on the sword for 2-3 minutes to claim the sword. Considering the EXPcaliber is easy to get to from the early game, it’s a great weapon to have, even if it cannot be repaired.

1Knives

Sharp weapons are great for cutting and taking the limbs off of enemies. As a type of sharp melee weapon, a knife is a great tool due to its high attacking speed. Players will want to use these against more agile enemies, as well as human enemies that are smarter about their attacks.

The knife is a great versatile weapon, and can even be used against slow enemies as long as players are aware of how to counter their slow swinging attacks. Knives are found almost anywhere, with multiple variations of long and short knives.
