Dreamson PS4 will be getting an update that will add a bunch of Halloween-themed content to the game really soon.Dreamsis mostly known for being a user-generated game creation tool developed by Media Molecule. The boundaries for creating within the game are quite vast, with the tools and engine allowing for a wide range of avenues to explore. That said, despite the game being a more user-based experience, this update will add a set of levels for less-creative players to experience in the game as well, quite appropriately based on the spooky season.

The Halloween season is the perfect time for developers to release content like this, as plenty of games provide seasonal updates to celebrate. This can includeHalloween-themed multiplayer eventsto simple extra cosmetics and levels based on classic imagery of the season.Dreamsis no exception either, as it’s giving two brand-new community-provided levels known asAll Hallows’: The Land of Lost Dreams.

The trailer starts off innocently enough, where the tool is used to create a cute-looking cat inDreamswearing a Witch hat. When given the option to save this creation, the cat gets unceremoniously dropped into a pit, where the nightmarish and twisted content of this game update is shown. This includes the trailer showing off a number of locales and characters that can be met in this location, which is stated to be where all discarded creations in theDreamsenginego to. This set forAll Hallows’: The Land of Lost Dreamswill come with two areas, one known as the Land of Lost Dreams, while the other is known as the Forest of Gloom. Both of these creations will be available for players to experience on October 20.

A suitably demonic voice then tells the player that they have entered the realm of the titular “Lost Dreams,” which then showcases a number of locations and creatures that are made within the engine that have a spooky or creepy vibe. This includes cats with razor-sharp jaws on their stomachs in a dense forest to dimly lit urban areas. Other creations include a few jumpscare moments, as well as a tombstone in tribute to unfinishedDreamscreations.

With this spooky set of levels coming soon, it should be a good way for fans to be inspired to make their own creepy creations within the engine. Players have already recreated the iconicPTSilent Hillsdemo inDreams, so this free update should be a great baseline for more similarly scary games to share with other gamers.
