The images for the upcomingDragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC show Goku with a younger and smaller look than the one he has for much of his journey in the ARPG, but it also shows him in a blue outfit holding an umbrella that may be yet another option in the World Tournament.
TheDragon Ball Z: Kakarotscreenshots in the ad shared by Twitter users DbsHype and DmGaming_5 prominently focus on the version of Goku that will be part of the new DLC, but they also hints at story beats. One image shows the different Goku standing with similarly younger Bulma, Launch, Master Roshi, Oolong, and Puar, while two other screenshots tease the battle between the Saiyan hero and Piccolo. The confrontation between Goku and Piccolo at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament is a big moment intheDragon Ball Zfranchisebecause it’s the only time that Goku has won the whole thing despite participating in several events.
Given thatDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s World Tournament DLCfocuses on the 23rd iteration, it’s fitting that Goku has been reverted to his teenage years, but Bandai Namco may not have anticipated such a positive fan reception. Although it’s currently unclear whenDragon Ball Z: Kakarotplayers can expect to get their hands on the World Tournament DLC, the teasers may have even more fans anticipating the fifth add-on.
