Destiny 2has teamed up with Twitch Prime to bring fans of the series a little extra loot. Starting tomorrow, players ofDestiny 2will be able to grab some free exotics if they also have a Twitch Prime subscription.
Destiny 2has been around since 2017, and during that time, players have gotten access to a number of events with interesting loot, emotes, and other exotics. It was pretty easy tofall behind on exotics, either because players would miss a season or they didn’t buy the game at the beginning. Also, sinceDestiny 2released late on the PC, Steam players are behind on the loot that has previously only been available for console players.

Delayed a day becauseDestiny 2’s servers have been down for emergency maintenance, the Twitch Prime exotic drops will start tomorrow. For the next six months, players will get monthly loot drops from Amanda in the Tower. These will include Exotic ships, ghosts, emotes, ornaments, and weapons, but no armor. The first drops will be the Exotic Auto Rifle SUROS Regime, the ornament Coup de Main, the Exotic Warmind Ship unsecured/OUTCRY, and the Exotic Ghost Shell Skyline Flipside.
All players have to do to grab the next six month’s worth of loot is connect their Bungie accounts and their Twitch Prime accounts. It will be similar to the wayTwitch Prime loot has worked for other games, likeFortniteskins andApex Legendsloot. Here’s a list of everything players can expect from Twitch in the next six months:
This is a great gift for PC players, new players on console, and even just players who missed something along the way. Since Twitch Prime is still included with Amazon Prime subscriptions, a lot of people already have this service for free. That means six months of fun uniques that players may not have had access to before. It seems like a great present from Bungie to many of the players currently suffering under the server problems andseasonal grind burnout.
On the other hand, however, it is a little unfair to players who have devoted hundreds of hours toDestiny 2and already own all of these exotics. They have put in the time, and there doesn’t seem to be anything new and exciting for them to grab from this team up between Bungie and Twitch. It would have great for long-time players to get something new too, like someunique Exotic weapons with interesting perks. There also is a distinct lack of armor on this list of free exotics, and that also feels bad for new and old players alike. AllDestiny 2players with missing armor pieces will just have to hope that Xur brings them back around at some point.
Destiny 2is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
