As one of the biggest and most popular superhero fictional universes, theDCEUhad offered a lot of memorable moments since its inception in 2013. It included funny scenes, action sequences, as well as romantic moments between multiple couples that got together in the DCEU movies.

5Clark Kent Loses His Father
Losing a parent is hard, as Batman could attest. Superman has the same experience. Even before becoming a famous hero, he faces the death of his father. The worst thing about it is that Clark knows he could save his dad Jonathan. In fact, he’s ready to move Jonathan into safety even if it meant showing the other people present his powers. But before Clark makes the decision to move, Jonathan realizes what his son is planning to do and stops him with a few simple gestures.
It’s a poignant moment since the audience can see Clark’s despair at not only losing a father but at not saving him even though he could do it. With great power comes great responsibility, asSpider-Man’s uncle Benwould say, and Superman’s father Jonathan knows it’s true. His father’s sacrifice is what later forms Clark’s character and helps him become the superhero he needs to be in order to save the world. So something positive comes out of the tragic situation, after all.
4Wonder Woman Fights In No Man’s Land
Even though she spent decades hiding and helping people from the shadows, Wonder Woman is one of the most prominent and oldest DCEU superheroes. She demonstrated her abilities during World War One. Most notably, she did so when she walked into No Man’s Land to take on her enemies. It’s a moment that so many superhero fans love. The hero faces enormous odds but finds the courage to pick the shield or ready their fists, and they keep on going, despite the dangers.

The scene helps demonstrate Diana’s bravery as well as her sense of what’s right and what’s wrong. Wonder Woman knows when she walks in No Man’s Land that there are bullets flying everywhere, but she does it anyway because it’s the right thing to do. It’s heroism at its best, and fortunately for Diana, she manages to get through unharmedthanks to her powers.
3Wonder Woman Says Her Goodbyes To Steve Trevor
Another cathartic moment that stems out of something tragic, just like Jonathan’s death, is when Wonder Woman says her goodbyes to Steve Trevor. After reuniting with Steve almost 70 years after his death inWonder Woman(2017),Diana is devastated inWonder Woman 1984(2020) when she realizes she has to let go of Steve again. However, Steve persuades her it’s for the best because it’s the only way how Diana can save the world. They separate and Diana cancels her wish, gaining back the strength she needs to take on Cheetah as well as Maxwell Lord.
This moment is both sad and hopeful. Sad, because Wonder Woman’s forced to give up the man she loves, but hopeful, because she does it willingly, unlike the last time, and is ready to face the world without him. It marks her progress as a person and suggests that from there on, she might no longer be as crippled by the loss as she was for the previous seven decades. The final scene in which Diana walks through the crowd during Christmas and is smiling hints at the fact that it worked, and she’s now ready to move on.
2Superman Returns
After losing his life inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice(2016), the fans suspected Superman would be back sooner or later. Despite that, his return came across as a cathartic moment. Superman showed up when he was needed to help theJustice League defeat Steppenwolf. He also reunited with his partner, Lois Lane, and his mother Martha who were mourning him.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League(2021) takes even greater care to explain how important Superman’s return is not just for the team but also for the people in his life, those closest to him. As a result, Superman’s fans are just as relieved as the heroes when he finally shows up, snaps out of his initial confusion, and joins the fight alongside his teammates.
1Harley Quinn Burns The Factory Down
Harley Quinn is one of the fan favorites in the DCEU. So much so that it was satisfying for the fans to see her break out with the Joker, and finally get free of him after being under his thumb for so long. Instead of unfollowing him on social media, in big Harley fashion, she celebrates her break-up with the Joker by burning down the Ace Chemicals factory, the place where her ex-boyfriend turned Harleen into Harley.
As Harley walks away calmly from the burning factory, it’s clear she’s now a new woman, ready to reinvent herself, and the viewers are all for it. Harley further cements her development as a person by helping Cassandra and becoming one of the founding members ofthe superhero team Birds of Prey, something that simply wouldn’t have been possible while she was still with the Joker.
