Fansadding guns toDark Soulsas a modisn’t an entirely new concept, where some modders transformed existing weapons into a skin that resembles other modern weapons. InfernoPlus however goes above and beyond with this weapon addition, taking several weapons fromHalo, such as the Pistol and Needler, and adding them to the game.

If that wasn’t enough, the guns themselves aren’t just a model swap, but a completely new and separate weapon category inDark Souls. This includes programming its own moveset, controls, and mechanics, which InfernoPlus states took a lot of work and coding. InfernoPlus also even programmed appropriate visual effects for each of these guns, such as the Needler having its needles stick to a surface and then detonate.

There are 13 guns added through this mod, which are hidden all overthe world ofDark Souls, one on each map. The mod has them turned off by default if the player doesn’t want to use them or get invaded by other players with guns. The other implementations of this mod includes various maps from other shooters being included, such as Death Island fromHalo, or the Crossfire multiplayer map fromHalf-Life.This mod is free to download, through a link on InfernoPlus' video.

Dark Soulsis available now on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
