Gravelord Nito is one such character who has become quite a legendary figure in the series, in no small part due to the fact that he holds one of the four Lord Souls. While fans have gone above and beyond to fish out everything they possibly could about this character, the fact of the matter is that some aspects of this character have definitely been overlooked. 10Nito’s Body Is A Massive Human Skeleton
Players who dug around the game files ofDark Soulsfound out that Nito’s body is actually one massive skeleton… albeit with some noticeable differences from the usual skeletal structure.
His rib cage is blown up and filled up with bits and pieces of dead matter. Along with this, his torso is also jutting forward, giving him a hunchbacked appearance. His skull is also placed in a rather odd manner, right behind the dead matter discussed before.

Nito might look rather imposing at first glance, but it only takes a keen eye to realize that his entire coat of skeletons isn’t really a part of his true appearance.

Rather, it seems that Nito has worn all these skeletons all over his body asa makeshift armor of sorts, which is quite… creepy, to say the least.
8His Left And Right Leg Are Built Differently
One thing about Nito’s body that is definitely worth mentioning is the fact that his left and right leg and both differently built, which is quite odd indeed.
His left leg is built like something that would be more at home on a quadrupedal, while his right leg is built like a normal human’s. This leads to him having a pretty noticeable limp, and is perhaps one of the reasons why he’s such a slow boss. Well, that and the fact that he’s absolutely massive.

As one of the four holders of the Lord Souls, Gravelord Nito was instantly going to become a pretty legendary figure in the lore ofDark Souls.
His aura becomes all the more menacing once it’s brought to light that Nito’s Lord Soul basically converted him into a hub of illness and death, with his goal becoming to spread pestilence across the land.
6He Is The Only Lord That Never Split His Soul

One of the many reasons why he’s such a unique figure in the lore is because of the fact that he’s the only Lord that never split his Soul, which is certainly something to be noted.
5He Is The Only Lord Who Has No Type Of Magic Associated With Him
The fact mentioned above isn’t the only reason why Nito is such an intriguing figure inDark Souls. All of the Lord Soul holders are associated with some form of magic or the other. Gwyn is connected to miracles, the Witch to pyromancy, and the Pygmy to dark sorceries.
However, Nito is the only exception to this rule. He is not associated with any form of magic at all, which is quite weird indeed.
Meeting Gravelord Nito before one engages with him in combat allows players to join the Gravelord Servant covenant. In this covenant, players are rewarded for luring phantoms from other worlds, ending their lives, and offering up the Eye of Deaths that are received to Nito.
This is a subtle way to show Nito’s inclination towards spreading death and despair across the land, even in his weakened state.
3Pinwheel Stole The Rite Of Kindling From Nito
One funny tidbit about Gravelord Nito that most people aren’t aware of is the fact that he was actually in possession of the Rite of Kindling… before a certain someone stole it.

This person is none other than Pinwheel, which is quite hilarious — the fact thatthe weakest boss in the entire gamewas able to steal a very powerful item from a Lord seems too far-fetched to be true.
2He Created The Milfanito And Fenito From Dark Souls II
Dark Souls IImight not share too much in terms of lore with the first andthird game, but there’s no denying the fact that the connections it does share are quite unique indeed.
One such connection is the fact that Gravelord Nito created the Milfanito and Fenito present throughout the world ofDark Souls II.
After receiving the goal to find all the Lord Souls, the player undead will set out on a journey to end Nito’s life and attain his soul, as a result.
However, one might question how his Soul would still persist even after the vanquishment of his physical body. Well, the generally accepted consensus here is that his Soul is more than just that — it’s the manifestation of a concept that has taken root in everything around the player, which enables it to exist in the first place.
