Although players need Devotion and Loyalty to unlock new structures and traits inCult of the Lamb, the Faith stat is just as important. Much like the Hunger and Sickness meters, players will need to keep their Faith meter as full as possible at all times. Bad things can happen within the Cult if the Lamb loses too much Faith, including the introduction of some frustratingly annoying Dissenters. Left unchecked, Dissenters will throw the entire cult into disarray, threatening to convert more Followers to their side and eventually leaving the Cult entirely.

To make matters worse, Followers that leave the Cult will take Gold or materials with them. Players that spend too much time Crusading, without checking in on their Cult Faith levels could end up with empty homes and Gold coffers when they return. To keep the group happy, players can perform a number of rituals and other tricks that will keep Faith levels as high as possible while the Lamb is off doing other things. Here are some of the best tools to increase Faith inCult of the Lamb.
This is vitally important to keeping the cult as faithful as possible. Although Cult of the Lamb features a solid tutorial to get players started, it will stop holding their hand pretty early on. As new mechanics are introduced, Cult leaders will have to take it upon themselves to read all about the items, structures, and Rituals they are unlocking. It’s incredibly easy to miss minute details if players move too fast or glaze over the reading.

Even the most “positive” of Rituals can cause a loss of Faith when used. Ignoring or denying Follower requests can cause them to lose Faith in the Lamb, and even failure or death within a Crusadecan have the community seeing their leader as “weak,” causing a further drop in Faith levels. Even some food recipes can cause Faith reduction. It’s important to read every little detail as players progress and unlock new items.
5Unlock The Holy Day Ritual
Players that find themselves struggling to keep the Faith throughout their Cult should consider rushing towards the Holy Day Ritual, which can completely save the Lamb in a pinch. In order to unlock this Ritual, players need to collect enough Stone Tablets to commit Doctrines until they reach Tier 4 of Work and Worship in the Doctrine Tree. Here, they can choose the Holy Day Ritual (over Glory Through Toil, which causes Followers to work for three days without rest). Activating the Holy Day Ritual will allow Cult members to have a complete day of rest, meaning they won’t generate devotion, tend to crops, or gain and refine materials.
The trade-off for activating the Holy Day Ritual is a whopping 80 Faith, which will practically fill the Faith meter no matter how bad things have gotten. It’s essentially a Faith panic button that can save players with the push of a button.

4Always Perform Sermons After Doing Everything Else
One of the biggest ways to keep Followers happy is to perform a Sermon. This mechanic can be activated in the Church and will be available to the Lamb each and every day. Not only does the Sermon reward players with valuable Loyalty and EXP towards unlocking Crusade tools, it also refills a bit of Faith. Because of this, players should be sure to always save the Sermon until last.
Players can counteract the negative effects of certain rituals or quests by using their Sermon at the end of their community-building rotation, rather than at the start. It’s very smart to get into the habit of using the Sermon as a Faith booster, rather than simply a way to gain certain EXP.

3Don’t Bother Followers At Night
Players may not immediately realize this one, as it’s easy to miss and not covered in the Tutorial. Once the daily clock hits a certain point, it will become Night in the Cult and all Followers will immediately drop what they’re doing and head to their sleeping quarters. During this time, players should be careful not to commit any Church-based acts, Rituals, or bother their Cultists. Doing so will cause Followers to get agitated, dropping Faith in the process.
Instead, players should focus on tending to things on their own at Night, or simply head out on a quick Crusade. Performing any Rituals or Sermons during this hour can actually be detrimental to the Lamb.

2Construct Buildings And Unlock The Belief In False Idols Trait
Another thing that gains Faith is when players construct a new building. Creating better sleeping quarters, building farms, or even outhouses, will help generate Faith from the Cult, refilling the meter a bit. This also counts for Decorations, allowing players to simply place down a few cheap decorations if they see their Faith dropping (they can even drop them down and then quickly deconstruct them to regain materials after they’re built, without a penalty to Faith).
Those that head to Possessions Tier 2 of the Doctrine tree will also find a Trait called Belief in False Idols. Unlocking this Trait will give a nice boost to the amount of Faith that is generated whenever a Decoration is placed, giving players a fantastic way to build Faith in a pinch.

1Always Place Dissenters In Prison Immediately
It can be pretty shocking to return to the Cult from a Crusade and suddenly see a red-eyed Dissenter angrily screaming and attempting to convert Loyal Followers. Players can interact with these wayward souls and attempt to Re-Educate them, which will cause them to reform back into the Cult. Unfortunately, Re-Education can take multiple days (and can only be done once a day). If players let Dissenters run free, they can quickly spread through the Cult like a virus.
The best way to combat this is to place the Dissenters in Prison. This will immediately take away their ability to convert Followers to their cause, and will also keep the rest of the group happy. Even better, players can still Re-Educate the Dissenter while in this position. Because of this, players should be sure to quickly scoop up any Dissenters and whisk them away to Prison the instant they notice them.
