Last month, developer Bad Vices Games releasedRavenous Devilsacross multiple platforms, but for one reason or another, it’s flown a bit under the radar. The bizarre game is described as a “horror cooking simulator,” and it’s getting some renewed attention thanks to a viral TikTok video that draws comparisons between it and the classic musicalSweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which also had a film adaptation starringJohnny Deppin the title role.
The TikTok video, uploaded by user madmorph, shows off someRavenous Devilsgameplaywhile explaining the basic premise. In the game, players control Percival and Hildred. Percival runs a tailor shop, while Hildred runs a pub. The two work together to kill people, with Percival selling the victims' clothes back to the public and Hildred using the corpses to make meals that she then feeds to her customers.

AsRavenous Devilsplayersprogress through the game, they will have the opportunity to upgrade their shop and buy new tools that in turn make their gruesome businesses more effective.Ravenous Devilshas a “Very Positive” rating on Steam so far, though it doesn’t have enough professional critic reviews to get an overall aggregate score on OpenCritic. The attention that the game is getting through the TikTok video should make it much higher profile than it was before, though, so it will be interesting to see if it translates to more content being produced about it in the days ahead. At the time of this writing, the video has over 347,000 likes and nearly 3 million views, so it’s safe to say that a lot more people know aboutRavenous Devilsnow than before the TikTok video was produced.
Ravenous Devilslooks to be offering a unique blend ofcooking simulatorand horror game, and luckily, it’s available on pretty much every gaming platform one can think of, minus mobile. It’s readily available to purchase across Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It’s also pretty cheap, so horror fans can pick it up without breaking the bank.
At the time of this writing,Ravenous Devilsis a mere $4.99 across the various digital storefronts that it’s available on, so thoseSweeney Toddfans looking for something to play may want to consider checking it out. It’s not currently available throughsubscription services like Xbox Game Passor PlayStation Plus, but regardless, $4.99 isn’t asking much at all, especially when the user reviews are so positive.
