There are quite a few major gaming milestones taking place this year with both thePokemonandPersonafranchises celebrating their 25th anniversaries. There is one other gaming icon who has lasted for 25 years as well, but their anniversary has been relatively understated:Crash Bandicoot. Fortunately, for fans who may have felt like his anniversary was being neglected so far, Activision has acknowledged the occasion with a pair of new game bundles.
Both bundles were announced very recently and are also already available for purchase across the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms. The first of them is titled the Crashiversary Bundle and contains all three modernCrash Bandicootreleases: theN. Sane Trilogy,Crash Team Racing: NitroFueled, andCrash 4: It’s About Time.

And since theN. Sane Trilogyis a compilation of the original three games for the PlayStation One, that means the bundle consists of a whopping five full-fledged games. Unsurprisingly, the bundle isn’t exactly cheap, with its standard retail price being $119.99 for PlayStation and Xbox, and $99.99 for Nintendo Switch. However, for the time being, it’s being sold at half price at $59.99 across all platforms. The offer obviously won’t last forever so newcomers interested in getting into the series will want to act fast.
The second bundle is simply called the Quadrilogy bundle, consisting only of theN. Sane TrilogyandCrash 4, so noNitro-Fueled. Naturally, it’s slightly cheaper, with it retailing at $89.99 for PlayStation and Xbox, and $69.99 for Switch. It’s also currently on offer at $53.99 for PlayStation and Xbox, and $41.99 on Switch.
It’s currently unknown if Activision has any further plans for the anniversary besides these bundles. The anniversary itself isn’t until September 9th and while a new game would certainly go down well with eager fans, there has been no sign of any newCrash Bandicootproject being in the works. Plus,Crash 4developer Toys for Bob has since been brought on to work on theCall of Dutyseries, along with practically every other Activision studio.
It’s also difficult to be excited about the franchise’s anniversary considering the news circulating Activision at the moment. Not long after the anniversary bundles were unveiled, news broke that the state of California issuing the company for gender discriminationwithin the workplace. Specifically, it has allegedly cultivated a “frat boy” culture, with multiple complaints of sexual harassment that have failed to be addressed.
