A Twitter user known as BreadisModding recently pointed out that the URL for an upcomingCall of Dutyblog post mentions the next-gen launch ofWarzone.Call of Dutyfans aren’t able to visit this URL yet, but it has been confirmed as the officialWarzoneSeason 5 URL. This means that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S fans ofWarzonecan expect to hear more between now and August 12.

Another Twitter user known as TheGhostofHope, who has gotten other things correct in the past, has corroborated BreadisModding’s information. The URL refers toCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 5and its next-gen update, suggesting the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version will release soon. Season 5 begins on August 12, bringing with it tons of additional changes toWarzone,including this potential next-gen update.
Call of Dutyplayers who visit the locked URL will be taken to an official Raven Software error page. Once the blog is published, this URL will be unlocked andCall of Dutyfans will have a better idea of what to expect from Season 5. AlthoughCall of Dutyfans may not have expected a next-gen update withWarzoneSeason 5, it could be a pleasant surprise for players on the next-gen consoles.
Raven Software has previously confirmed that it’s working on a next-gen update forCall of Duty: Warzoneand it may finally release with Season 5.Warzoneplayers on PC have already been greeted by an assortment of visual updates, including theaddition of DLSS. The next-gen consoles recently launched and are slowly getting next-gen updates to games on PS4 and Xbox One, withWarzonepotentially being the next to be upgraded.
BreadisModding has suggested that beyond this next-gen update being extremely likely,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans may also be improved with a next-gen upgrade as well. In addition to improved visuals and FPS,Call of Duty: Warzonemay finally get anFOV slider with the next-gen update. BreadisModding and TheGhostofHope have confirmed that the only reason they were able to unveil the next-gen update is from theCall of Dutyblog URL.
The patch note URL itself details the addition of a next-gen upgrade as part of theWarzoneSeason 5 update. Raven Software hasn’t confirmed or denied this information, butCall of Dutyfans don’t have long to wait for the new season. Although this URL is an official Raven Software one, it’s best to take it with a grain of salt until the patch notes are officially published.
