Call of Duty: Warzonekicks off Season 4 in just a few days, bringing a lot of new content to the popular battle royale. The developers have detailed some of what players can expect fromCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarandCall of Duty: Warzone’s newest season, including the limited-time event that kicks it all off.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s Season 3 was started with a massive nuke eventthat saw the entire map of Verdansk being blown away with a nuclear strike. Afterwards, the map was sent back in time to the 1980s, so many players have wondered how Season 4 would follow it up.

Now, the developers have revealed in a blog post that Season 4 will start with a limited-time event known as Ground Fall. Thereveal trailer forCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4hinted at the season featuring satellites crashing back to the earth, so it seems likely that that is what Ground Fall is referencing. The blog post also reveals that the event will see players having to find and secure satellite links across bothCall of Duty: WarzoneandCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warto unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards that can be used in both titles.
The blog post also says that players will be able to tackle challenges that are related to Season 4’s new game modes, maps, and weaponry inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwhile challenges inCall of Duty: Warzonewill focus on new points of interest added to the map. Completing the challenges will grant players XP for the season’s battle pass as well as rewarding Emblems, Calling Cards, as well as a satellite weapon charm. Any players who complete all of the season’s challenges will get one ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s blueprintsfor a secondary weapon that will not be available any other way.
The limited-time event seems like a good way to kick offCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 4. It is interesting to see the season incentivizing players to play bothCall of Duty: WarzoneandCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warto complete all of the event’s challenges.
