Warzone 2.0is here, and the game has already surpassed 25M players within a week of release.As players continue to jump into Al Mazrah, the new map inWarzone, the meta will only become more obvious and the best players will start to utilize the superior weaponry.
If players ownMW2, they can easily level their weapons in the multiplayer and create a diverse arsenal for them to choose from. However, if players only haveWarzone, sticking to the weapons to level them might be a good strategy. Either way, players will see these weapons listed below becoming more popular over the next few weeks. In general, it’s important to have a short-range (pistol, SMG, shotgun) weapon and a medium to long-range (AR, BR, MR, Sniper)weapon in every loadoutto adapt to multiple engagements through a match.
8TAQ -56
The TAQ-56 is one of the easier ARs to unlock. Players can easily unlock this weapon by leveling their main account level. This can be done through playing any game mode and playing the objective or getting kills.

Although the TAQ can be a great close-range weapon with the right attachments, it is quickly finding itself as a strong ranged rifle due to its high recoil control and accuracy. With a clear scope, grip, and compensator, this AR can compete with the LMGs such as the RAAL or RPK, which are quickly becoming popular among the competitive community.
7RAAL MG
The RAAL MG has quickly become the most popular LMG alongside the RPK thanks to its large magazine and low recoil. It’svery forgiving for beginners to engage in medium-range combat. The RAAL has also become incredibly popularamong COD content creators.
With 28 levels to progress through, this weapon does take a while for players to fully unlock all the attachments and finally weapon tuning. However, once players get to this point, they can really customize how this weapon handles to make it deadly at long range.
6Victus XMR
The Victus XMR is the new Sniper available inSeason 1 through the Battle Pass. Players can unlock this one fairly early on in the pass, and later there is a blueprint to help players customize this weapon with some awesome attachments.

The XMR is among the bolt action Snipers available inWarzone,meaning players will have to hit their shots to make this rifle effective. However, its high power can be great for taking out single targets at distance. Theblueprint in the Battle Passalso comes with pre-tuned attachments.
5Lachmann Sub
The Lachmann Sub is an awesome close-range SMG with some versatility with attachments. With moderately high damage and a fast rate of fire, there is little that the Lachmann lacks.
With a 50-round magazine as one of the attachments, players can take on multiple members of enemy squads in one go. If players are looking for more of a solo queue build, they may want to think about swapping this out for a different attachment, as they may not need the 50 rounds.
4RPK
The RPK is the second LMG on this list. InWarzone 2.0, the LMG class seems to be among the favorites in the pro scene due to its large magazine size and low recoil. The RPK is a perfect example, as it has a similar damage output to the Kastov but with the ability to take on targets at range.
There are a few ways to build this weapon depending on the player’s skill level. Take it into the firing range and play around with some of the barrel and suppressor attachments to find which ones work best for.
3Fennec 45
The Fennec 45 is based on the iconic Vector SMG found in many FPS games. This weapon is very well known for its high rate of fire and damage at close range.
The Fennec is almost unbeatable at very close range, but once players step even slightly outside its effective range, they will struggle against some basic weaponry. With the right attachments and a bit of skill, players will have loads of fun with this one. New players, though, may find something like the Lachmann Sub slightly more effective.
2M4
The M4 brings no surprises to the table. It gets the job done at close to medium range with high damage and low recoil. Unfortunately, this weapon is definitely not the best in class, but for new players, this can be a great place to start as one of the first weapons they will unlock (and an easyweapon to get to gold camo).

However, once players are comfortable withWarzone’s weaponry, it’s recommended players venture slightly outside their comfort zone and use something more in line with the meta such as the TAQ-56 or RAAL.
1MCPR-300
Last but not least, the MCPR-300 is another bolt-action sniper that new players will have access to as soon as they launch the game. This will likely be one of the first Snipers players level to max rank as it is easy to use and one of the first unlocks.
For new players, this can be a great starting point to get used to the Sniping mechanics and effective range. This Sniper has slightly better mobility than the Victus (mentioned earlier on this list) so can be slightly easier to use on the move. A suppressor can also help to keep players hidden on the radar from other players and allow them to hold their position when attacking multiple targets.
