Call of Duty: Vanguard’s release date is just over a week away, and so the wait for the newCall of Dutygame is nearly at an end.Call of Dutygame file sizes are notoriously large as of late, and so it stands to reason thatCoDfans would want to preload the game so they can play right away at launch. Activision has now revealed exactly whenCall of Duty: Vanguardpreloading begins and what the game’s file size will be across most of its available platforms.

Call of Duty: Vanguardpreloading starts on PlayStation 4 and 5 at 9pm PT in North and South America. Those in other regions will be able to repload the game beginning October 29, local time. Those who plan on picking upCall of Duty: Vanguardon Xbox One or Xbox Series X will be able to preload starting October 28 at 9pm PT regardless of where they live.

Recently, it was teased thatCall of Duty: Vanguard’s file size would be significantly smallerthan other recentCall of Dutygames, and it seems Activision wasn’t bluffing. On PS5,Call of Duty: Vanguard’s file size is 64.13 GB with 89.84 GB of required space. On PS4, theCall of Duty: Vanguardfile size is 54.65 GB with 93.12 GB of required space. Meanwhile, those on Xbox Series X have a 61 GB download ahead of them, while those on Xbox One will have a 56.6 GB file to contend with.

Activision has said that players will be able to “manage storage space” to reduce theCall of Duty: Vanguardfile size as well, though it’s unclear exactly what this means. It’s possible thatCall of Dutyplayers will be able to pick and choose exactly what they have installed. PreviousCall of Dutygames allowed players to uninstall campaign if they were only interested in multiplayer, for example. So maybe ifCall of Duty: VanguardZombiesisn’t of interest to players, they can drop it to make some more space on their hard drives, though more specific details are unavailable at the time of this writing.

What’s been left out of the equation so far is theCall of Duty: VanguardPC port, which is still light on details. Activision has promised that more information on theCall of Duty: VanguardPC minimum and recommended specswill come “soon,” but didn’t specify when. Meanwhile, those who want to repload the PC version ofCall of Duty: Vanguardwill be able to do so starting November 2.

Of course, preloadingCall of Duty: Vanguardrequires one to pre-order the game, and so they would need to do that before launch. There are a variety ofCall of Duty: Vanguardpre-order bonusesfor fans to look forward to, including content forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarandWarzone, though some of these bonuses are only available to those who pre-orderVanguardby November 2, so fans should keep that in mind.
