Another incredible feat commonly shared online is the “cross-map,” when a player uses a grenade or tomahawk to kill an enemy from the opposite side of the arena. While both a quad kill and cross-map are notable in their own right, it’s very rare for a player to achieve both at the same time inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The player in question got the quad kill on theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2map Mercado Las Almas during a ranked match of the iconicSearch and Destroy game mode. The player is seen attempting the elusive cross-map kill but manages to pull off an even more staggering feat instead.

Reddit user Sycamonia shared a clip of their noteworthy semtex quad kill, which they achieved by blindly throwing a semtex over buildings toward the enemy’s spawning position, utilizingInfinity Ward’s trademark map designto their advantage. The semtex managed to land in the center of the enemy team, killing all of them immediately and ending the round. While it’s not uncommon to see players sharing their quad kills or cross-maps, it’s incredibly rare for both impressive feats to occur at the same time and even rarer for them to end the round.
Achieving a kill from across the map is a memorable achievement for almost anyCall of Dutyplayer, with clips of cross-maps being a staple ofonlineCall of Dutycommunitiesdating back to the originalCall of Duty: Black Opsfrom 2009. Since they originally debuted, many players have attempted the feat at least once, though few very rarely manage to pull it off.
It’s incredibly rare to see a quad kill in regular online play and even rarer for the group elimination to be the result of a single grenade. Seeing a player manage to pull off a cross-map quad kill using the semtex grenade is quite impressive, but what makes it even more impressive is the fact that Reddit user Sycamonia got a quad kill during a Ranked session of Search and Destroy, one ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s most intense game modes.Although such a feat is almost unheard of in theCall of Dutycommunity, the player in question has proven that it isn’t impossible.
