TheBioshockseries hasa lot of momentsthatdo not make a lot of sense. The series is also full of fun experiences, such as plasmids and vigors that give the player supernatural powers. But the property is, perhaps, best known for its fantastic storytelling, making it a trulymemorable series for anyonewho plays it.

Vigors inBioshock Infinitegive players an upper hand against their enemies, allowing the players to form a shield against gunfire or to possess automatons that will fight on their behalf. Here are the vigors available inBioshock Infinite, ranked from worst to best.
11Undertow
Undertow is a vigor that uses a wave to deflect bullets and to throw enemies into the air. When charged, the vigor can be used to pull enemies to the player, making it easier to kill them. Undertow can even be used to trap enemies as large as Handymen.
Despite this, Undertow at most seems to be a way to knock down enemies for a few seconds when overwhelmed. Other vigors do about the same, and Undertow is found pretty late into the game. If it was found earlier, it might have been more valuable.

10Ironsides
Ironsides can be found inBurial at Sea - Episode 2when the player returns to Columbia. The vigor blocks bullets and adds any bullet captured to the player’s inventory to be used. There is no charged effect, either. The vigor can be upgraded, which allows the player to get some EVE back.

The vigor is a new addition to the DLC, but does not really add anything big. It is similar to the Return to Sender vigor, except it is not fatal to any enemies. If the player is running out of ammo, this vigor helps, but that is about it.
9Peeping Tom
Peeping Tom is another new vigor (technically a plasmid) found in theBurial at Sea - Episode 2DLC. It allows the player to see enemy outlines through walls, and if charged allows the player to turn invisible. When upgraded, it allows the player to stand still while invisible without using up EVE.
It’s a cool idea in theory, but players have been playingBioshockwithout a plasmid like it for this long. Most likely, the player will go through Rapture and Columbia forgetting they even had it.

8Charge
The Charge vigor makes it so the player can speed through enemies, damaging them. The longer the player charges the vigor, the more damage the charge does. It can also be used to charge into a crowd of enemies, making it a bit easier to fight them afterward.
Charge does offer players the chance to damage groups of enemies, but it also offers the chance to run off the edge of Columbia. Players should be careful, as using this vigor at the wrong time can lead to an unceremonious death.

7Shock Jockey
Shock Jockey is a vigor that gives the player the chance to shoot an electric bolt, shocking an enemy for a few seconds. A charged attack makes the player throw purple crystals on the ground, shocking anyone who comes close to them. Upgrading the ability lets players shock multiple enemies at once.

While Shock Jockey is good against human enemies, it is not that useful against Motorized Patriots or Handymen. If the vigor is not upgraded, then it is not very effective later when there are more groups of enemies.
6Return to Sender
Return to Sender blocks bullets and rockets that enemies shoot at the player. When charged, the player will shoot the projectiles back at enemies, damaging anyone nearby. If the player throws the ball of projectiles at a wall, it will instead act as a trap for enemies entering an area.
This vigor is most useful in areas where enemies keep coming, forcing the player to hold out defensively. It could be the thing that keeps a player from dying during one of the final battles of the game.

5Old Man Winter
Old Man Winter is a vigor or plasmid used by the player during theBurial at Sea - Episode 1DLC. It can be used to freeze the splicers the player has to fight in Rapture, but it is also necessary to proceed through the DLC. The player must use the power to freeze water and form a bridge to new areas.
The vigor can be used to freeze groups of enemies if they are all standing in a puddle of water, making it easier to fight. When the power is charged, it will throw down crystals that freeze any enemy that steps on them.

4Bucking Bronco
Bucking Bronco is found early in the game and can be used to levitate enemies, making them defenseless against the player. A charged attack sets a trap, leaving enemies in the air for longer if they step on the area. Because the vigor is found early, it is useful for fighting against the large groups of enemies as the player progresses through the game.

Bucking Bronco can also be used against Firemen, Beasts, and Zealots, making it useful against all types of enemies. With a quick burst of fire, the player is able to take out a group of enemies with ease.
3Devil’s Kiss
The Devil’s Kiss vigor can be used to cast a firebomb at enemies or to create a trap. The vigor is useful against all types of enemies except for Firemen, which is likely to be expected.
The fireball, when thrown, does not detonate when it hits a wall. It only goes off when it hits an enemy or after a certain amount of time. An enemy hit by a fireball will stay on fire for a bit, causing more damage until they are put out. The vigor is found early in the game, and is useful throughout.

2Possession
Possession is the first vigor the player will receive inBioshock Infinite. The vigor allows the player to get money from vending machines and causes automatons to fight for the player. When upgraded, the player can cause human enemies to fight for them.

Possession can be used to take control of Motorized Patriots, Zealots, and Firemen. After the possession, human enemies will commit suicide – something the other enemies will not do. The Possession vigor is useful for creating a distraction among enemies during battle.
