Another added bonus is that the frag grenade barely even cooks before exploding, meaning that it will explode almost as soon as it leaves the player’s hand. This saves from having to time the perfect throw to deal a significant amount of damage; players can simply throw the grenade in the general direction of the opponent, and it will do the rest.

It also needs to be noted that the C4 has a staggeringly long throwing range, so the player never needs to worry about being too close to the blast. This also allows the Heavy to create chaos without being a part of a fight, so if they spot two teams going at it inside a building, they can simply toss a C4 through a window from afar to rack up some extra kills.

Players who are familiar with the Heavy class will probably be aware that it is already capable of creating cover with the Goo Gun, but equipping the Goo Grenade frees up this slot to choose a different Specialization ability, making the Heavy much more versatile. For example, if the Heavy picks a Goo Grenade, which can help support the team by protecting them from incoming fire, they can also equip Charge ‘N’ Slam, which allows them to also have some offensive capabilities, too.
