After a long hiatus,Berserkfans were finally able to enjoy their favorite manga again in April. After the release date of Chapter 372 was confirmed, there was another announcement that revealed information about the subsequent chapter. It stated that theBerserkmanga would not be taking a break and instead would release another chapter in May.
It is great to see that Kouji Mori and the rest of the team working on the manga have been able to closely emulate Miura’s work. The entire team has produced some fantastic chapters, and if things continue in the same way, the manga might reach its conclusion sooner rather than later.BerserkChapter 372 was not packed with action, but it was an extremely important one as it finally covered the aftermath of Griffith’s abduction of Casca.

Casca Wakes Up
The biggest question in the minds of the fans was what would happen once Casca woke up. At the beginning of the chapter, Casca had a nightmare in which she saw Guts disappearing from her life. This horrible dream was enough to wake up Casca, after which she began to think about it. As she sat up in the bed, a group of women entered the room, and they told her that it was time to get dressed. The maids asked Casca multiple questions, but she chose not to answer them. Casca and the maids went out of the room where they saw the Helix Tree, and subsequently, their eyes fell onthe Band of Hawkembarking on another campaign. Naturally, Casca could not control her emotions any longer, and tears began to roll down her face.
It seemed that Casca had no recollection of her friends, whom she left behind. But when she sat with her thoughts, she slowly remembered Schierke and Farnese. Casca experienced a sudden rush, and she decided to run away. It was obvious that the guards would never let such a thing happen. They began to surround her, but Casca was not willing to surrender. Casca was concerned about Guts, and she admitted that she had to find a way to get back. However, Casca could not continue fighting for long and eventually collapsed.
Griffith’s Next Move
After Casca’s failed attempt, the focus shifted toward Griffith and his captains.Irvine updated Locus aboutCasca’s current condition. The conversation between the two was interrupted by Griffith, who told them that they had to travel to the East.

It seems that Griffith is going on an expedition to bring yet another kingdom to its knees. Griffith’s powers have drastically improved ever sincehe became a member of the God Hand. He started a new Band of Hawk and recruited many legendary warriors, which came at the cost of the lives of his comrades.
Release Date
Berserk Chapter 373 will be released on July 21, 2025. It might focus on Guts and how he is holding up after Casca’s abduction. The last time fans saw him, Guts was in terrible condition. He had a serious mental breakdown, and he locked himself inside one of the rooms on the ship. Schierke tried using Astral Projection to see what was going through Guts' mind. She saw the memories of Guts and his sword. It was quite evident that they had been through a lot together. Before she could finish, Guts collapsed on the floor.
Despite suffering a massive setback,Guts will have to collect himselfand get up again. He cannot afford to stay depressed, as Griffith is already making his move. The leader of the Band of Hawk has already decided his next destination, and at the moment, there is no one who can stop him. If Guts takes too long, Casca will be gone forever. She clearly cannot escape on her own, so Guts has to step up. Once Guts does regain his senses, he has to start by helping the people on the ship. Guts will have to come up with some kind of plan to save the ship from being destroyed.
There is a chance that the chapter might give some more attention to Casca. Like Guts, Casca has to stay strong too. She is in a horrible place mentally, but she has to be resolute for her own sake. For now, it is highly unlikely that Griffith will appear in the story. Kouji Mori mightwant to build some more suspense, so he will keep the leader of the Band of Hawk away from the spotlight. After all, he wouldn’t want to reveal Griffith’s goal in the very next chapter. So, it is very likely he will defer it by a few chapters. In any case, things are shaping up nicely, and it would be fair to assume that fans are in for a treat. The upcoming chapter will shed some more light on how Guts will rescue Casca from captivity.
