This item plays a huge role in Karlach Companion Quest as players must collect it to try and tame Karlach’s raging engine.A blacksmith that goes by the name Dammonwill help you and Karlach as much as he can and will even mark some of the Infernal Iron locations on the map. Tav simply must collect as much as possible to try and change Karlach’s fate.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Infernal Iron Locations
Blighted Village
Baldur’s Gate 3players can find one Infernal Iron in the basement of a building at coordinatesX:37 Y:420within the Blighted Village. Upon entering this building, players should usefireto clear the largecalcified webon the ground and then jump into thehole. Fans should then climb the nearbyladderand lockpick thecheston the platform to claim the material.
Shattered Sanctum (Goblin Camp)
The Shattered Sanctum is entered through theHeavy Oak Doorat coordinatesX:-106 Y:454within the Goblin Camp, and there is an Infernal Iron at the north end of the map. More specifically, the material can be looted from theTreasure Cratesthat are beyond the lockedIron GateinDror Ragzlin’s room(X:297 Y:61). Players can bypass that gate with lockpicking or with the help ofDror Ragzlin’s Key, which can be looted from this goblin leader’s body after he has been dispatched.
Zhentarim Hideout
Players can enter the Zhentarim Basement through ahatchin a building in northwest Waukeen’s Rest (X:-127 Y:617). After accessing the basement, players should interact with theWardrobe at X:382 Y:-260to reveal a hidden staircase,which leads into the Zhentarim Hideout. In the Hideout, fans should headnorthwardto anIron Gateand pick the lock. Fans will encountertwotrapped chestsbeyond that gate, and they will find an Infernal Iron after disarming the trap and opening the container on the right with a lockpick.
Grymforge
There is a boat inBaldur’s Gate 3’s Underdarkthat players can use to reach Grymforge. Fans will findStonemason Kith, a Duergar merchant, near that location’s Waypoint, and he will provide an Infernal Iron to those that can pass a History, Investigation, or Perception check.
Masons Guild (Reithwin Town)
As players traverse the Shadow-Cursed Lands, they are likely to encounter Reithwin Town. There is a Mason Guild just north of that town’s Waypoint, and fans should find several Infernal Alloys scattered around its first floor.
Baldur’s Gate 3: What to Do with Infernal Iron
Players that have gotten their hands on some Infernal Iron should visitDammon, a Tiefling blacksmith, to progress the Hellion’s Heart quest from Karlach or create the Flawed Helldusk Heavy Armor. For the uninitiated, this NPC can be found at X:178 Y:563 (near the Emerald Grove) in Act 1 and then at the Last Light Inn inBaldur’s Gate 3’s second act.
